OK...So here's a interesting question....

Disney needs time to work on improving FP+, therefore I'll come back...

  • Some time in 2015

  • 2-5 years from now

  • 5-10 years from now

  • When DisBoard members become more positive about FP+

  • When you can have more than 3 FPs and no tiers

  • Whenever I feel I can no longer stay away (I'm a junkie so this could be next month)

  • When Disney gets rid of FP+ (no matter how long it takes)

  • Whenever US / IOA becomes boring to me.

For those of us saying, "I've decided NOT to go back to WDW until the issues with Fast Pass+ are worked out / correct" ... what exactly is your time line?

Do you fear going through "WDW withdraw" will prematurely bring you back?

Curious, because a lot of people (me included) seem to willing to give Disney a grace period, where they get to work out all the kinks and bugs that seem to be involved with the new Fast Pass+.

I would love to try it but I'm not willing to pay thousands of dollars for a vacation experience less stellar due to a buggy system. Not that it would be... just not looking to take that risk right now.

You're wise not to go right now. We just got back and found it to be stressful and much less fun. DH and I were actually in WDW talking about which OTHER parks we'll go to next time. I'll take cruises or go on other vacations until they get their act together.

We are going next week and staying offsite. If I had known we couldn't pre-book, I would not have booked the trip. That said, we usually come at least annually but we won't be back next year unless - offsite folks can pre-book, you can get more than 3 and tiers are gone. We love Disney, but will spend our dollars elsewhere.

You don't have a "it doesn't affect our trips" tab. We will go back this fall for MNSSHP as we have for years. We may or may not go in a few weeks for a day or two pre-cruise. That trip has nothing to do with FP+ and everything to do with finances (Disney is so friggin expensive! :scared:)

extremely expensive...

I think a little "Disney withdrawl" is a good thing. For me anyway, it makes things all that more magical when I haven't seen them in awhile.

We already have preliminary plans in the works for 2016. I would hope things will settle by then and we'll be anxious for a return visit.

You don't have sometime this year as an option. For some people, it doesn't really affect their trip.

In our case, we would normally only do a handful of the rides that you actually need a FP with, that along with some other reasons, it won't really matter to us all that much.

I'm definitely a Disney junkie, but the last trip just wasn't as pleasurable for me. The Fast Pass+ situation stunk, sure, but it wasn't just how it directly impacted me. It was clear that other guests weren't as happy and that the CM's were worn out from dealing with the disgruntled guests. We promised our daughter that we would take her one last time during the slow season before she started kindergarten, so we are going next year, but that is the last trip we have planned for a while. FP+ has actually helped me to branch out, though. We visited Disneyland last year and really enjoyed ourselves. We are planning to go back there in 2016 and maybe a Disney cruise the year after that (something I absolutely never desired before the FP+ situation). We are also talking about doing an Adventures by Disney vacation. So, Disney is still going to get my money, just not WDW.

I voted "When you can have more than 3 FPs and no tiers"
Although I am not applying that as a conditional rule to planning trips after this summer, I am sitting on the fence about it until I feel the changes made (assuming there are any) to the system allow us to tour more efficiently in accordance with what is important to us. It may not necessarily be that they removed tiers or etc, specifically, but it needs to be something I feel we can work with.

So no definite time frame.

Was there when they first rolled it out in OCT 2013 and never had an issue with the FP+. Used it on line and on the IOS App.

After about 38 trips in the past 22 years (not sure of the exact number of trips, I might have left a few out) we will be spending our vacation dollars elsewhere for quite some time. I was there in Oct. 2013 and Feb 2014 and it just ain't what it used to be. It's not just FP+ but I guess you could look at that as the straw that broke the camels back.

I feel sorry for people who are fairly new to WDW. They'll never know how great it used to be.

We usually go the first week of June and as much as I would like to go this year, its really not in the budget. My DH is taking some online college classes and DD is getting married in Oct. So its really best that we skip anyways. So with all the glitches and problems going on, "if it was going to happen", this would be the year that it won't matter (for us)

I am hoping to plan a big fun trip June 2015!:cheer2:

Oh, I will add that I would like a few more FPs (but my main issue, is I don't want to have a bunch of technical problems to deal with on my vacation)

Yep. We'll be back this fall and getting APs again.

I guess when things are new, there is an adjustment period that time will allow one to get used to. as much complaining people are doing regarding the new system, suppose WDW just said "fuggetabottit" and eliminated all fast passes and just went back to the old system where everyone stood in the same line. would that be an option people can live with?
someone on another thread likened the experience with being a vegetarian in a restaurant. she might always order to veggie dish, suppose the restaurant changed the steak making process. would that stop her from going the restaurant? if you never used the FP, then who cares. if you did, then understand how it works.
If no one wants to go to WDW, then the park will be less crowded for me

Same here! Can't wait. We go several times a year. I won't let FP+ make or break my trip..:lmao:
We have often just popped into a park for lunch and just soaked up the atmosphere. :cloud9:

Oh, btw, you need an 'other' for your poll.

We'll be back in 2015- December. Not by choice. I'd rather be going this December :sad2:

FP+ didn't bother me at all.

I vote "It will not have any affect on my future trips". We just got back, 3/9, not a problem with FP+ or MB. Linked tickets as well as AP's, guest relations at MK took care of prioritizing in a matter of minutes, not a problem. DDP linked to MB's, not a problem. Credit card linked to MB, not a problem. Resort room key linked to MB, not a problem. I found it easy to change FP+ at the parks, utilized morning EMH for multiple headliner rides, had a very lucky chance to schedule Soarin', Test Track, and Mission: Space on same day (Thanks to the Dis for the heads up on that!:cool1:) We had a wonderful time! I do feel bad for those not having the great experience with FP+/MB that we had. I hope the kinks are worked out soon! :goodvibes Already planning for June 2015!! :)

I voted for 2-5 years, but honestly, FP+ has nothing to do with it. We just got back 5 weeks ago, and I really want to treat my daughter to a Greek Island cruise for her High School graduation present in 2 years. In order to pull that off, I have to scale back on vacations for the next 18 months, so that means no $400 park passes or $47 dinner entrees at WDW for a while.

What I'm trying to decipher is what is so stressful, is it that a person only gets 3 fp or that you have I book them online/thru the app/or kiosk. I know a kiosk can be a pain but even when they had the paper fp's you had to wait in line for your turn to use them. I've even heard some people complain about you have to do use them on a timetable. Isn't that that same as when they had the paper ones. I've read so many different complaints I don't know which one to go off of.

I'm not sure about the people saying that they vote "it won't impact us at all."
Doesn't that pretty much mean that you aren't one of the ones saying, "I've decided NOT to go back to WDW until the issues with Fast Pass+ are worked out / correct"? It seems to me that there is a reason that there isn't an option that is about how it won't change when you go - the poll is asking people who said that they aren't going to go back how long they intend to wait. :confused3
