Not because of Gay Days. I already understand MK will be crowded on Sat. My question is crowds in general in all the parks the week after Mem day weekend. Do many leave after Mem day or hang around for the week. It is still flower show and star wars. I am in need of serious advice and information because this will be our last trip until after the Fla res passes blackout dates end and then not until at least October due to work and school. Those of you who can understand the withdrawal that I will be in can understand why I need good solid advice and answers. Need answers, weather hot and/or rainey? Already got park hours and am hoping new evening hours will continue. Also info on Blizzard beach imp as we may do this and never have before. Not really looking to go commando. Just me dd 5yr old and maybe a friend from college. DH definitely staying home. So safety and girls alone is also issue. Oh, and do you think POP is already crowded for those dates? I think that is enough to start. I am already feeling thge shakes of possibly no more DW for 5 or 6 months. ;) Feel free to add any issue I have not already panicked about. Thanks!

Pretty much after the Memorial hoiday itself, the crowds return to normal, even at the Gay Day parks. The exception really is MK on Saturday...very busy.

We have always gone the first and part of the second week of June. People do clear out some after memorial day. The week after the crowds gradually pickup going through the week . Usually doesn't get crowded until the second week of June in my experiance. And even then the second mondays and tues. aren't bad at all .

I never found Memorial Day or Gay Days crowds to be all that bad. I would advise avoiding MK on Saturday and Sunday and go during the week if you can. I remember getting a note under our resort room door about the MK gay day that stated that they were expecting very heavy crowds that Saturday. I don't remember exactly what WDW did...they either opened another park early or kept one open later in the evening.

Happy planning!

Was there last year 1st week of June and found crowds not bad at all. We'll be coming down this year May 28th - June 5th. I expect heavy crowds for Memorial Day weekend and then some thinning out during the week.

We were there the first week of June last year as well, and the crowds were moderate. The only times we felt crowded was at MK in the afternoon and on the night of Spectromagic (it was only held twice that week, and it was NUTS that night). We used FastPass wisely and got to the parks as early as possible in the morning, and saw pretty much everything we wanted to as many times as we wanted to without major waits.

We did find it to be wiltingly hot that week. It was 90-95 every day and really humid. It only rained (a lot) on one day of the week. Have a great time - we're going back at the same time next year!

Best plan go early EMH if staying on property then leave and hop to another Park if MK is crowed after lunch.

In response to your weather question.. July is HOT, HOT, HOT. And it will rain everyday. But the rain is a good thing because it tends to chase folks away. Just duck into a show or do a little shopping, or don that poncho and go, go, go!!

The best way to deal with the heat is to do early mornings, then go for a nap or swim at the resort during the hottest part of the afternoon and come back to the park in the evening.

July has the longer park hours which are ideal for the afternoon break. With a good game plan, you should have no problems and remember, it's a vacation...no stressing allowed!

We have been the first 10 days of June now for several years. Usually the crowds are not too bad with the exception of afternoon sometimes. But do not go to MK on the first Saturday in June. We were there one year on that day and the crowds were so bad you could not even walk around the park. Left and went to the other parks and the crowds were pretty normal that day.
