Ok --- so, just arrived on Friday, and DW iPhone (6) crapped out --- stuck on Apple logo --- tried everything -- she really needs a laptop ( from what she's telling her computer challenged hubby (me) , she needs to log into iTunes and restore it -- (she didn't bring her computer on trip)

We are staying at the ASMovies --- called guest services the other night, and she was told they have public computers at AoA -- so, she bussed it there, but couldn't fix it , because they were desktop computers --

Has anyone ever had this happen while in WDW ? Anyone know of any of the parks (Epcot, perhaps) where she could gain laptop access ?

TIA !!

I backup my iPhone on a desktop and have restored it from there. I think the issue is it's not the computer where she backed it up. I would try to find out if there is an Apple Store nearby.

Found this: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204184

Did she back it up/sync it to her laptop or to the cloud? If it was to the cloud, then she could do it from another computer on the internet. Have you tried going to an Apple Store?

Next time if the apple logo appears, wait for a while to see if it comes back to the lock screen. If it doesn't come back, try powering it off by holding down the power button. If it still doesn't come back, hold down the home button (one on the screen) and the power button until the screen goes black. It will come back with the apple logo first and then the lock screen. You may have to hit the home button to see if there's progress on the screen. Good luck

Thanks guys !! Going to try to reset from phone again --- I did try the other night without any luck -- if not, she is going to wait until we get back to NYC on Sat -- Thanks again !!

Depends if the phone is backed up to a computer or if it's backed up to iCloud.

You can restore the phone easily without using a computer if it's backed up to iCloud. You'll hold the power button and the home button at the same time, just like you would if you were resetting the phone from being froze, but you'll be holding the 2 buttons down for longer. The screen will shut off, then you'll see the Apple logo..keep holding the buttons down until you see it go to restore mode.

After this you'll select your language and all that, then select the last backup you want to restore to the phone. If this doesn't work and it's something internally wrong with the phone then you'll need to go to the Apple Store and likely be given a new phone

There's an Apple store in the Florida Mall. I hope rebooting it worked though.
