Our friend just returned from Japan and brought back each of my kids a pack of Pokemon cards. We have no idea what they say, but my kids were thrilled!

Anyway, last year (before my kids were into Pokemon) DH and I remember seeing Pokemon stuff in the Japan pavilion store, Mitsokoshi (sp?). Does anyone know if the cards are Japanese or American? What other Pokemon things do they carry?

We're trying to prepare our souven-ear list for our next trip. Thanks!

My DD was into Pokemon a couple of years ago during our trip... I'm pretty sure she was able to get Japanese edition Pokemon cards there. As well, they had different stuffed animals - and knick-knacks - collectible figures, etc.

She was all about Pokemon for about three years - now it's Neopets and Webkinz.

Good Luck!

Wow! My son will be so excited. Right now he has a shopping list for the Stars Wars store at the Studios and the legos store in DTD...Pokemon stuff in Epcot would make his day. I might need to pack another suitcase...

My boys were looking for Japanese cards in July, but they were disappointed to only find American versions.

My son would totally make me plan a trip just to see what kind of Pokemon stuff they have!!!

We actually did that with a trip to New York - our little Pokemon fan was DYING to go to the Pokemon Center store in New York! I was dying to see the Rockefeller tree and experience NY at Christmas - so it worked out! Although the whole trip was planned around going to the Pokemon Center!

I can't believe they have a Pokemon Center! I had no idea! I'm almost afraid to tell DS about it - he'll have us planning a trip to NYC to see it.

WOW!

I just googled it ... what's the deal with the free Pokemon and a game cartridge?

Here is some info on it...

pokemoncenter.com is blocked here at work - so not sure what that shows. You can order merchandise directly from the store. They have a whole wall of little figurines. We got LOTS of those!

You can sign up for a newsletter on the site that lets you know about new releases and specials.

This website shows the building and gives some info - I'm not sure how old the info is though.

My DD was way into Pokemon! She had the bedspread - curtains, we made pillows - I found some "wallies" of Pokemon figures (collected from eBay as stores didn't have them anymore.) We had about 50 of the wallies - and I used the cardboard "pokeballs" from a matching game and attached those to her walls as well. We painted a yellow and blue stripe around the perimeter of her room (about 4 ft from the floor). She had it all! We found most of it on ebay.

Happy Holidays to you and your little Pokemon lovers!

DS5 started out playing Sapphire on the GBA. Moved to Pokemon Stadium on our old N64. He bought one of the Pearl/Diamond card collector tin sets recently with allowance. DW got a good BF deal on a DS. So we'll be playing Pearl this time next week.

So we can possibly get Japanese cards in Epcot. Wow. Just, wow.
