OK, parking, break it down for me!

We plan on driving each day to Disneyland. We will be staying at the Embassy Suites NORTH location as it has an indoor pool

So, each day we plan to drive as we have had 2+ trips with nightmare-ish shuttles and think a taxi each day/night might be too much $$

So, break it down for me... the entrance, is it sign-posted? Does it have it's own lane to enter so one is not blocking traffic etc?
How early does the lot open? Is it easy to get around once inside the lots? Is it clearly marked where to walk to the DL entrance?
Payment... how does that work?? I recently noticed they offer parking when you buy tickets online (it's on the same webpage)... should we do that or just pay when we get there?? Is there a booth or something??

Can't think of any other questions... but we want to make sure we are not TOTALLY clueless when we arrive


OH - and we are doing the Halloween party one night we are there - apparently free parking is included with those tickets... how does that work?? I didn't print out my tickets yet.

$15 / day with in and out privileges

There are two main lots for all day parking. You can park in either, if they are both open (which the usually are). If one is closed, you will be directed to the other.

1. Mickey and Friends parking structure off Ball Road
2 Toy Story parking lot off Harbor Blvd

There's signage directing you to the lots once you get in the resort area. Transportation is provided from each to the Parks / Downtown Disney via tram from M&F or shuttle bus from Toy Story. You will want to note where you parked (there are signs for sections) so you can find your car at the end of the night.

I've looked around and the cheapest places I found were flightcentre.ca and CAA

Do you have AAA? Not sure if you have to book your trip with them or simply be a member but according to their website you get free parking. Check it out. Maybe save the money and do something extra.
