Time to get our back to school Calendar set up!

I have a large whiteboard calendar that I bought at Office Depot a few years ago and I *try* to keep up with it. Its posted on the wall next to the door to the garage so we see it everyday. I always tell everyone, if its not on the calendar its not happening!!

Each person has their own colour of dry erase pen so we know who is going where and doing what.

I also have a family calendar on the fridge. Its a Moms Plan It Calendar

this really helps keepeveryone organized too we all know that the fridge is the best place to leave messages for people LOL cause everyone looks at the Fridge! ;)

What kind of calendar do you have

Calender? What the heck is that?;)

Actually I just bought dry erase pens so we can all have our own colors. And I just found the dry erase board that I got a few years ago. Now I just got to hang it before I lose it again.

Well, right now I have a calendar on my computer. It sends me emails whenever there is an event/activity coming up. I do need something for everyone to see though and have been trying to decide what to use.

I should get some good recommendations here. :)

I couldn't function without my dry-erase calendar. It hangs on a wall in our kitchen, right near the table. Like you binny everyone has a different color...except Samantha...I'm running out of color choices now!!!! The calendar came with magnets to denote special days and I purchased some of those clip magnets so that I can hang any important papers right up at the bottom of the calendar.

Great minds must think alike because my family hears the same thing....if it's not on the calendar, it doesn't exist.

I have the family organizer calendar. It comes with really cool stickers for b-days, dr appts, etc and lots of room to write on each day. I get the same one every year...I love it. Mine hangs in my utility room--along with some cool Disney posters.

thats what I like about mine too Deena, all the stickers and stuff :) It makes it more fun :)

Way to go everyone! See? I told you this week would be easier!

I think Ill add on to it so youre not bored what do you think?

So lets talk about what types of activities were going to be adding onto our calendars this fall?
Do your kids have dance/gymnastics/karate/soccer?
Do you need to work on those registrations?

Have my calendar! Also have different color markers for each person!
Have all my registrations done so far...for school, soccer, and gymnastics... have more coming up

As what to list, we have so far:

PTO meeting
Soccer
Gymnastics
Family functions
Church events
Dr. appointments
Holidays (bdays and anniverseries)
VACATION to WDW!!!!! :teeth:

I could not function without that "MOMS calendar" as illustrated in the OP. I had a different one with the columns going across one year and I was so screwed up. We have 5 people in the family so it is perfect for us.
DDs both have dance--DD#2 and DS have soccer for 6 weeks--DD#1 is trying out for volleyball so if she gets on the team it will be more stuff--DD#2 also has girl scouts every 2 weeks, DS has expressed an interest in cub scouts (how can you say no to that?), he may pick up karate again, later in the year DD#2 will play basketball and DD#1 is trying out for cheerleading; she will also have voice lessons.....
oh yeah, and DH and I have those silly JOB things!
Robin M.

Hey, to all of us "soccer" moms and dads....make sure you get those forms in on time!!

DH and I are registrars for our local soccer org. and these late forms are driving us crazy!!! We will keep accepting them until teams are filled but the parents seems to think that they should still get their coach/player requests!!!!! Then they get so angry when they don't know anyone on their teams!!!

Sorry to go off.............

I contacted the YMCA to make sure I was getting the Fall program book mailed to us. I want to make sure I get the classes/times that work best for us. They fill up fast!

I think we will be doing:
Gymnastics
Dance
Swimming
Story time

Then whatever else we join at Avery's school:
Field Trips
Classroom volunteering

I think I am going to get one of those Mom's Calendars. Did you all order them? Or where you able to find them in a store near you?

I bought mine in the store last year.

It really is the best one going IMHO we have 5 people in my family too so that makes it perfect for us!

I just saw the Mom's Family Calendar last month at my sisters' house. I really liked it. I had a hard time finding one for 2004, but I finally did. I also ordered the 2005 one. It is so perfect for us, we are also a family of 5.

I have a MOM's Family Calendar. It has columns for each person. Plenty of space.

Loose papers are on the fridge. Not the best looking but it really works for me.

I am really decluttering like crazy!! Good Luck to everyone!!!

good for you guys!! How are you feeling now that the decluttering has begun?

Doesnt it make you feel better? Are you feeling like youre more prepared for school to start?

I cleaned out my garage this weekend

Well ok one side of my garage but it was STILL a ton of work!!!
WE had been saving up for a garage sale but dh nixed the idea ( I think I told you that allready sorry LOL) so now the Youth Ranch is coming out to get it all on Friday. There is SO much for them to take including a couch and leather chair and about 20 boxesof stuff on top of all that

But boy does it feel good to get rid of that!!

I always buy mine at those calendar booths in the mall around Christmas time, but their website is moretimemoms.com

Dell Axim handheld and Outlook. PDA with me so I can make instant changes/updates, etc. and sync with Outlook. Then print copy for each DD room, one on board in kitchen and one for DH and I at each workplace.

I also assign each DD a colored file folder on desk with school lists, etc. and a separate color for sports/girl scouts/lessons etc. and use a standing folder holder on desk in den.

I just bought a calendar at Borders. It is called Mom's Plan-it. Has the stickers, 5 spaces for everyone, and it is magnetic. I am going to get it organized when DD takes her nap this afternoon. :)

Edited- Ok it is the same one that Binny provided a link for in the OP. I read it as Planet instead of Plan It. :p

I do like it though. :)

LOL Jen Lynn
I think Im gfoing to get my new one soon too. The nice thing is they start in September ( and like they said on the site, every Mom knows the REAL year starts in September!)
