DW & I both have the galaxy SIII. We will not be upgrading for a very long time, because I refuse to give up my unlimited data.

I have galaxy note 1 and the hubby just upgraded to S4 yesterday.

Both kids and I have the Galaxy III, dh wants the IV. MY step bother and his wife have the Note (they both had an IPhone.)

Had the Samsung Galaxy Nexus but after a year of problems they gave me a choice of phones to swap to. Went with the S3 and have been very happy with it. My Nexus 7 tablet is a much better Nexus experience.

I had the Infinity (dumb phone) and it was horrible. constantly called people even though it was supposed to be locked, accessed the web even though I don't have a date plan, etc. I accidentally got it wet and bought a phone off ebay that is an LG but basically the same phone and it's so much better. I won't buy another Samsung after the last one. When I'm ready to upgrade, I will go with Apple.

Are you saying that if we upgrade we lose our unlimited data? I want the Samsung Note, but I can't upgrade until October. I thought I was grandfathered in. I currently have a Droid Razr Max. I love the battery but I really like the Samsung Note.

Yes, you will lose your unlimited data if you upgrade, UNLESS you buy the phone at full price. Yowza! That's a lot of cabbage. I gave up my unlimited data because my phone got stolen and I couldn't afford to pay full price for a new one.

According to Verizon's new rules, if you take a subsidy on a new phone, you loose your unlimited data. Not just on that phone, but on all phone on your account, if you are using a family share plan. To get around this, you basically have three options:

1. Buy a phone at full price.
2. Buy a used phone.
3. PM me if you want to know the third option.

I have the Galaxy II Skyrocket. I do love it but I am considering upgrading to the Galaxy 4 or the Note 2.

Funny story - I, too, am an iPhone convert (DH works for Google so had to support him!!). At first, I wasn't crazy about the Galaxy but once I got used to it, I loved it. Now, at work - they've switched us from the blackberry to the iPhone and I still love my Galaxy more! The iPhone gets on my nerves.

I have had some version of an iPhone for as long as I can remember and I love it, but my mom just got a Galaxy 4 and she says it's amazing! She's not a techy-type, so she can't really explain to me WHY it's better, other than it's "sleeker" and "faster".

So can someone tell me how the Samsung trumps the iPhone? I'm willing to give another phone a try, but if I have to learn to use an entirely different phone, I want it to be amazing!

I have a Samsung Focus S (windows 7.5 phone), had it for 18 months and love it. My wife has an iPhone4s and she loves it. Mine can access the internet much faster but hers does other things more intuitively. Wouldn't say either is better than the other, just different.
