when do you just give up and buy the next larger size jeans?

*sigh*

I'm fine, I think, everywhere...except for below my navel to my upper thighs (dang these thunder thighs!)

I have aobut 10 pairs of jeans...3 which actually fit and I will wear...1 "hiking" pair...1 "destroyed paint" pair...the rest...well...I pray I can squeeze into them again at some point in time..

I try...I really do! But this dang sweet tooth just kills me!

I wear sweat pants too often at home...a clear sign that I've evidently given up.

I give when I am out and about in public and all I can think about it getting home and putting on my pajamas :)

When I'm having trouble breathing when I wear them. :teeth:

Just go up a size :thumbsup2 No biggie. I would splurge and get a really nice pair that looks awesome.

Good luck!

PS--NO MOM JEANS :rotfl:

LOL - I know...I wouldn't wear "mom jeans" if ya paid me! (not a mom yet anyway)

I dunno...I just have this "thing" going up a size...like I'm really giving up...I used to be a size 12/14...I got down to a size 6/8...hung out at 8 for a while...some style pants in some stores I need to buy a 10...I think I'm a full on 10 now. And, it just depresses me I guess.

Ah well...maybe I will get a splurge pair...with STRETCH! heheheh

I gave up on my old "skinny" jeans last year and started buying some in the next size up. My body decided to stop cooperating with my stick skinny look when I hit 30. It took a while to get over that, but I'm okay with it now. I'm still thin enough... and now I can breathe in my new jeans!

(Sold all the small ones at a consignment shop, too!)

Alright Stinkerbelle, looks like I'm going to have to be the voice of reason here. (insert smiley shaking a finger at you)

Do NOT buy stretch jeans, and do NOT go up a size just yet. Start drinking some water and make some little changes. Just getting rid of a little water weight might make your jeans fit better.

Don't give up and don't give in! You can do it! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

BAH!

you are so right though...

so hard living with someone who loves you for what you are (well - I hope he does at least!) kinda let myself go a big I guess.

I can still live in sweatpants when at home though, right?

It's the same with me, except I'm in a size 22! My DH doesn't have a problem with my weight, and sometimes I think it would be easier for me if he did.

I made the mistake of buying a few pairs of stretch jeans back in August and had no idea whatsoever that I was putting on weight. Then I went to wear my old jeans sometime last week and couldn't even get them buttoned. :furious:

So, I'm trying to get my weight down so I can wear my old pants, and I'm never buying stretch jeans again.

Oh, and yes, you should wear the sweats at home. Comfort rules! :thumbsup2

As of the first of the year, I started (again) trying to lose some of that stubborn baby weight. I think the weight I'm at now...which is average...is what my body wants to stay at. Unfortunately, I don't agree. Also, more unfortunately, I also have a sweet tooth and have been on a donut/cookie/ice cream kick lately. I've decided after valentines day, I'll restart (again) my diet and exercise program. I have a few pair of jeans that fit...I kept my old pre-baby jeans just to try to fit in again. I think they'll be out of style by the time that happens though. Good luck!

I totally understand where you are coming from...like...it would be a nudge in the right direction.

ah well..guess I'll go home tonight, get on my elliptical, and do 45 min instead of my usual 30min...

then put my sweats on

and have a glass of wine.

heheheh...

You could cheat and get your jeans at gap or american eagle, where they run big. I can squeeze into a 7, but 9's are comfy.... at gap and AE, I'm a 6. Does nothing for the waistline, but you might be able to trick yourself. hehe.

I've also began doing pilates and trying not to eat after 8pm. I can't seem to diet. If I want a cheesesteak, dammit, then I want a cheesesteak!!!

Hey now, don't knock stretch jeans. When you sit all day long, they are a LOT more comfy than non-stretch.

That's my problem.

Sitting all day! :rotfl:

I haven't been in juniors sizing for many many years (juniors sizing are "odd numbers"...misses are "even numbers")...I'm about a 10 in gap/AE...maybe an 8 in abercrombie...depending on the style of jeans.

i like stretch jeans too...just cause i can't shrink them as easily when I wash them! hehehe

::yes:: I could have written this. But man...it was tougher than I thought it would be to go up a size.
