she is a huge princess fan and has most of the outfits, apart from ariels, but she is saving her pennies to buy that one while we are at dlp,
anyway my ?? is will she look daft in the parks during the day wearing her outfits, or do others wear them as well??
she spends her weekends playing and dressing up in her outfits, so i don't know how i will persuade her to leave them at home.

It's funny, I don't remember seeing children dressed up at DLP. Saw lots of little girls in Princess outfits when we went to the Magic Kingdom in WDW - I'm sure most of them were off to the Cinderella breakfast.

I'm sure it would be fine if she dressed up in the park - and as long as she's happy and doesn't feel silly, that's what matters. My only concern is how practical it would be for walking round in, particularly in March. Perhaps it would be best to try and persuade her just to wear an outfit when you went for a meal or something.

Just remembered, I'm sure I saw some girls dressed up in some photos someone posted quite recently - I'll see if I can find them.

Here we go! (It's just one young lady) Thanks Nikki!! :thumbsup2

You can buy lots of outfits there and these get worn by lots of children in the parks - she'll look right at home in her Princess outfit.

I probably don't see any, as I always visit in winter!! :teeth:

I wish Kimbee was still young enough to want to dress up in those kind of clothes, once upon a time (sorry!) she would have done I'm sure!

Guess I'll just have to settle for trying to persuade her to wear the 'woolly Tigger hat' so I can wear the Pooh one :clown:

I saw loads of girls in princess outfits last week.

They were getting lots of extra attention from the princesses during meet & greets and the parade.

thanks, she wears thick tights under teh dresses and long sleeve tops as well to keep warm, and i have removed the hoops to make it more practical.

Definitely lots dressed up in the summer months.
Obviously the weather can turn cold here in the Northern hemisphere which is why we have also never seen any during winter time :cold:

There were loads of children wearing dresses/outfits last summer, obviously not very many in the winter due to the cold weather :rotfl: although we did see a few.
I would definitely take them, they will still show even with a coat on top and my DDs found the characters do make more of a fuss of you if you are wearing a dress/outfit/hat/ears etc.
You might find the weather will be very kind to you in March, fingers crossed. :sunny:

Well, I can't speak for DLP, but the little girls in their princess dresses are always a huge hit at Disneyland (in CA)! I'm sure she will be adorable. princess:

princess: I think it's lovely when you see little girls at Disneyland wearing their Princess dresses. While it's cold at DLP wear a warm jacket/coat on top then slip it off when you're inside at the attractions or in the restaurants/hotel.

On my daughter's 4th birthday we were at Disneyland California she wore her Minnie Mouse dress, matching shoes & MM ears and met Minnie Mouse for the first time that day. She also went round the park another day wearing a Princess dress and got loads of attention from Characters, other CM & other tourists which she loved - made her feel very important, l think she believed she was a real Disney Princess. princess:

Make the most of it while your DD is small, mine is now aged 9 and passed that stage. :sad1:

We saw loads of kids wearing them in september (we did have fab weather then) . We are definitely taking more for this years trip. :thumbsup2

Why is it you suppose that we adult girls can't wear our princess costumes to the parks? :rotfl: Wouldn't that be a hoot???? :rotfl2:

I went for Halloween down at WDW in Florida and dressed for the Halloween parties (once as one of the dalmatian puppies in fully wooly costume, and once as Malificent). Had a wonderful time... :teeth:

My DH thought I was daft - but he held the leash all the same - kept me from wandering he said :rotfl:

Ah, to be young again!! :p

I love seeing the little girls in their princess costumes, and I've seen quite a few boys as Peter Pan, Captain Hook, and a few Prince Phillips wandering around WDW.

There was a wonderfully funny story on here not too long ago when one of our members wore his newly aquired Jafar outfit in the park. I'll see if I can find it. :rotfl2:

Here it is
Don't buy the Jafar suit !!!

How funny!

Although when I was at WDW for Halloween, I dressed as the Evil Queen from Snow White for the Party (on Halloween!) - there were loads of people dressed.

While we were waiting for the fireworks to start this very small girl dressed as Tinkerbell (4 years old maybe?) kept staring at me. Eventually she gathered the nerve to ask if I was THE Evil Queen. I didn't have the heart to frighten her and said no, I'm just dressed up like she was.

Well, she wasn't convinced. She kept asking me for the next 20 minutes as we waited. Her mother continued to apologize, but the little girl just would NOT believe I was anyone other than the Evil Queen. Even though 3 others dressed as the Evil Queen walked by us - the little girl would just look at me as say "but you're the real one, aren't you?" :rotfl2:

So, if I could confuse a little one in amidst all those costumes, having just one person in costume like Jafar - I can see where that would case problems!!

The Jafar story was very funny!

Being dressed as the Evil Queen, I guess I shouldn't take it as a compliment that I was convincing, huh??? :lmao:

i've seen lots of little girls dressed up, both in the parks and in the hotels. :goodvibes
