Ok Ladies...Tell me about your birth control!

While living in America I took Tri-cyclin. It was great, light periods, no pregnancies and no side effects.

When I moved the UK I switched to Microgynon, which gave me acne, leg pains and mood swings. I've now switched to Loestrin which I see lots of people are on so hopefully that works for me. I haven't even been on it for a month yet so too soon to tell if there are side effects.

Had my tubes tied two years ago. We knew that DD was the only child we would have and I knew that I never wanted to have another child (even if something happened and DH & I were not together I would not want another) so it was a no-brainer. Now BC is not even something I think about.

But lately my periods and PMS have become so awful that I'm thinking I need to start taking something to get rid of them but I don't know what direction to go. Pills make me sick and I always forget to take them, depo was a nightmare. I'm thinking about trying Merina - I'm a person that needs something I don't have to think about.
