Sorry Guys... don't want you to feel left out (if you looked...) :)

I'm looking, I know very late in the season for Capri's/cropped pants for a cruise I may take in Oct.

Problem is... my hips...

Ok... so it's probably more than my hips...

I fit into plus sizes... has anyone tried Lands End or LL Bean's pants and how do they fit?

Any other suggestions?

I love LL Bean. Especially the comfort waist pants, shorts and capris. I'm not a plus size, but I'm not petite either. I find them to be very comfortable.

Nordstrom's has a house brand line called "Caslon" they have great fitting plus size clothes - not as expensive as you might think - certainly no more expensive than LL Bean and Lands End( love the LE Bathingsuits and Yoga Pants but can't wear anything else from them) Also you can get personal help there. If you order on line they only charge $5.00 for shipping - I ordered 7 dressed from them for my cruise - all of them under $125 each (most were $88) and paid only $5 for shipping and then returned 4 of them to my store locally.

And though I am not a big fan of most of Lane Bryan't clothing (just because you are big does not mean you have a huge chest you want to flaunt) I generally have had a lot of luck with their pants.

I love TALBOTs, you can get summer stuff at a big discount now, sometimes up to 70% off, and they have plus sizes, and you can shop online. Give them a try!!

J.Jill and Old Navy also sell plus sizes online. I know Macy's carries a nice selection of plus sizes in their stores.

Try the Avenue. I love their capris. I'm short and plus sized (18) and capris usually look like floods on me (5'2"0). They also have Bermuda shorts and cropped pants.

Whever you order from try www.naughtycodes.com to get discount codes.

I wear Land's End capri pants in plus size. They are very true to size. They are very comfortable and hold up very well. I have two pair that are at least 5 years old and still look very good.

Thanks everyone!!!

I always get nervous when packing for WDW - often thinking I'll be the only one out of fashion - or worse... like WW failed...one more time...:sad2:

Then I have to remember that we all come in all kinds of shapes and sizes and that NONE of us is a swimsuit model!!!

I apologize to any swimsuit models who may read the DIS!!! :)

If you have a Dress Barn near you, I highly recommend it - they have all sizes, regular and plus and they have a lot of appropriate cruisewear stuff... and it's tailored so as to make anyone look good! :)

Try the Encore department at Nordstrom. If they don't have your size, they will ship it to your home from another store for no charge!

Ditto on Dressbarn. I love the fit of their store brand capris. I'm 14/16, short, and curvy. I've tried Landsend. I love their tankinis because you can choose tops that are long enough to reach my hips. I didn't care for the jean capris from Landsend. On me, they are too long in the "rise," and when the waist is at the height I like, the rest sags too low. I do like their "virtual model" on their website to be able to see what items may look like on.

Happy shopping!

I mainly shop for pants at Lane Bryant. They have size 14 and up. I love their pants because I am tall and they are the ONLY store where I can find plus size pants that come in tall sizes also. They should have capris on clearance right now, although I haven't been in there in a while.

My closet is an advertisement for Christopher and Banks. I love their clothes. They have a store for size 14 and up called C.J. Banks. You can find GREAT buys there on end of season stuff. Now is the time to start shopping for an October cruise--all summer stuff should be reduced. Go online to find a store near you!

& there's more!!!!

I've been home with a sinus infection for DAYS now and all I wanted to do was stick my head between two pillows...

BUT...

Mom needed another reading lamp... promised her I'd go on Monday - 1st sick day....

Was green for Tuesday and Wednesnday....

Today didn't want to go either... but hey, it's MOM... and we LOVE MOM!!!

so we went to a zillion stores and finally found a lamp at JC Penney - on the OUTLET!!! YES!!

Then went to Boscovs (in the NE - women might know it...)

Found another pair of capri's on sale - originally $40... I got them for $10.50!!! THEN I hit the sales rack for shoes and got BASS flip flops for @ $10 also!!!

My Aunt would be SO proud (she got shopper of the year once...)

So...I hope it all fits... and I'm out @ $45 for the cruise so far...

I'll let you know how it all goes!

Thanks much again! :cool1: :cool1:
