Every trip I've gone to WDW I've used a camera. BUT (ooooo special) for the last three years I have used aDigital camera. This year my mother is going without me (STUPID school!) I'd really LOVE to be there with her, but I can't so we were thinking she could use a digital Video camera. Is it worth it? Lugging the camera around and shooting evry second thing? She is going by herself for the first time so it might "keep her company" or give her somthing different to do. What do you guys think?

I'm a photographer so I live behind my camera...but think still shots for your mom would give her a little more flexibility than the video. just my thought.

hope she has a great trip!

I've always enjoyed a mixture of both, but it's usually only when I'm traveling with someone else. I don't like to live completely behind the lens. Some things are best just experienced first hand, ya know? Anyway, that was my thought! A video camera might be fun for her, but I wouldn't do both a video and stills. I'd have her choose whichever she is most comfortable with.

When I go to WDW, I don't take my video camera everywhere with me EVERYDAY, and I don't shoot fotage everwhere. Some days I like to just leave it behind. :) A still camera, on the other hand - I'm WAY more likely to take that with me every day.

don't bother having her use a camera, let her run around and concentrate on having a good time without needing to worry about taking pics
