Ok, it is feet season again...

I really dread this "sandal" time of year. I work in an office so I cannot be in tennis shoes all day. The latest fashions seem to dictate that I wear strappy sandals and no pantyhose.

This is something I don't understand. I agree, the trend is no pantyhose. How in the world do you wear dress shoes? Don't they pinch and dig into your feet? Wearing pantyhose allows your foot to fit smoothly into the shoe. How do people do this?

If I wear "pumps" I will ALWAYS wear hose; however, if you go to the shoe store, they don't really sell "summer pumps" anymore. It is all strappy sandals, open toes, whatever. I think they are all very pretty but they just don't look good on me. My legs are pasty white, I refuse to tan anymore, and my feet could be prettier.

I don't mind feet as long as they are well taken care of. A former co-worker's feet used to absolutely disgust me...she wears open back shoes year round and her heels are crusty and nasty looking. I'm getting sick thinking about it!!

What is the difference between "ugly" feet and "ugly" faces, hairstyles, or clothes? All of them are just as unappealing-- no need to single out the feet!

Cantw8, you must stop! I am going to hurl!

Seriously though, I like sandals. I think people who wear them should at least take the time to exfoliate their heels and spruce up their toenails though.

I think some feet look very nice when manicured in a pretty spring or summer color. I love to get my pedicure in a bright deept pink and a little flower on the big toe. I also love french pedicures with a flower. I love the way my toes look all decked out in a cute pair of sandels and painted.

I love wearing flip flops, sandals...anything open that I can slip off at my desk. With that said...I just had a pedicure Saturday and my heels need to be exfoliated again. It takes time and effort...but it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make to wear sandals all summer.

Okay, I have never really seen a pic on the DIS that was "too much" for me...but that last pic, Cantw8, was beyond the pail...I think I threw up a little in my mouth.

:crazy2:

mine ar ealso bright pink, and I've got 2 small flowers on the big toe of my left foot.

I ove sandal weather!

I just had a french manicure Friday. I do exfoliate and moisturize my heals between visits. I love wearing sandals which is most of the time now. I rarely wear socks and tennis shoes because it is too hot.

I'll proudly join the foot haters club! And I thought I was the only one! :)

Well I was at work thinking about this thread all day long and I also must add....feet that have the second toe in bigger than the big toe or toes that dont go down in size order also freak me out LOL...

I agree 110%. My co worker has feet like this and should not wear sandals! She even gets a pedi with bright red polish so they draw even more attention!

Nope, not the only one ;)

So last night I was at JcPenny's looking at shoes for the kids. Low and Behold, they had at least 2 tables of ladies sandels. I could not help but think about this thread. I could not help but think about all those naked feet being seen at those sandels ;)
I am one to wear sneakers all year long as well. Even if I polish and keep my feet smooth, they are still UGLY..The only time I wear anything other then sneakers in the summer is to the beach(if we go)and they are sorta sandles, but you cant see the toes. You know, the ones you just slip on.That is as far as I go. LOL

No they do not.

I get proper fitting dress shoes.

I wear pantyhose for a look--not to make it possible to wear my shoes.
