i was reading the other post and was wondering if the handy cooler is worth buying??.:confused3:... has anyone used it... where did you get yours from....and how well does it work in DISNEY??... TIA!!;):goodvibes

You might try doing a search on this. There have been quite a few discussions about it recently.

It seems that the overwhelming opinion is that there is just too much humidity in FL for it to work. It works best in a "dry heat" like you would find out west. I think someone said that about the best it would do in FL was maybe blow air up to about 3 degrees cooler, which at 95 degrees just isn't going to make a difference!

Thats what i thought, just wanted to be sure... i am looking for something to help stay cool in the parks we are going the end of Sept. so wnated something that was light weight but also cooled well... any ideas??:surfweb::confused3

The cooling neck wraps talked about in the other thread are really great. There is no absolute cure for heat and humidity but we really love ours and use them all summer at swim meets and they do help. They are not very expensive (I find them at Walmart) so pick one up and give it a try at home and see what you think.

Also keep in mind that many of the shows and rides are indoors with air conditioning so that also helps. Just keep hydrated-- lots of ice water (free at any place that has fountain drinks, not bottles) and enjoy the swimming pool!
