OK. If not Boardwalk, then what's next best BWV view choice?

I'm thinking Luna pool view with Tower of Terror in background, or Quiet pool with Swan/Dolphin behind. Problem is, I really don't have any idea, though. I'm just guessing for the sake of example. We've stayed in BWI , but not Villas.

Any thoughts?

We had a 4th floor quiet pool view, we could see the canal & TOT straight ahead, Dolphin & Swan off to the right. We could hear Fantasmic & see the high fireworks. Room 4100, 1 bedroom dedicated. It was the first room on that section of the hallway (second section from the elevator), there was a housekeeping closet first, so no one was on that side.

Luna Pool/TofT is a pretty awesome view. You get a nice view of the canal and the S&D as well.

I am quite fond of the view from standard view 1br room 4123. There are two balconies...one large one that has about 6 chairs on it and a regular sized one off the bedroom. On one side you can see Japan in World Showcase and watch Illuminations...from the other you can see the TOT. Of course there's also a lovely view of the valet parking lot and gas station across the street...and the bridge and bus stop....but you can just see so much from here!

The room itself is also huge...bigger than a usual BWV 1br. The kitchen is truly a full kitchen..the table is on the tile and has 4 chairs. The living room is very big too. And the only trade off is that the shower is small....a square rather than a rectangle (though I'm comparing to a VWL shower as this is the only 1br we've had at BWV so far).

Great room, great view. Next time we get a standard view 1br I'll be requesting it by number! I had requested a room "near the tennis courts" when we got this one, but next time I plan to ask for it by number because if we don't get this room I wouldn't mind a shorter walk to the elevators!

Clark: Last year we stayed overlooking the quit pool.It was great overlooking it and seeing the Swan in the backdrop with the water running infront of it.We did this room because we thought it was going to be to noisy overlooking the Kester pool or the Boardwalk. Wrong. We had 16 days from March 1st to the 16th on the second floor overlooking the Kester Pool this year.It was great.Sitting ouside watching the pool area and the Tower Of Terror. If we closed the door,we couln't hear a thing. Thought there would be noise at night in the pool area, none. So we have done them all and there is no problem, except in th am with the kids running in the halls. Can't do much about that.So book it (outback) just try to get it near the lobby so you won't have to walk to far to your room. :smooth:Good Luck DFM

Lesley,
What was the smoking type for this room? Non-smoking or Smoking? I thought I had heard that the 4th floor is smoking is why I asked. We have a standard view 1br reserved in May, and this room sounds GREAT! :D

Thanks!

its non-smoking. 3rd floor is smoking at BWV.

Just don't request that room when I want it, ok?:D

I don't think the 3rd floor is smoking, at least not all of it. I was in 3121 (standard view near pond) last December and it was non-smoking. I was in 4100 (4th floor) the year before (preferred view over quiet pool) and it was non-smoking. I know part of the 2nd floor is smoking.

My understanding is that ALL of the smoking units at BWV are on the second floor (same level as the check in lobby).

If that is incorrect, I'm sure someone will correct me. :)

Nope we also had a second floor room last time and it was non-smoking. I'll let y'all know about the smoking thing in Dec when we get back from staying in the smoking section....not thrilled about it but my mom will have a cow if she's told she can't smoke in her room.

I called MS last week to ask the same smoking room question. (Traveling in April with a smoker). MS did not know, referred me to call the front desk #. When I called they told me the whole 2nd floor was smoking and no other floors allow smoking at all. Hope this helps someone. :)

Hmmm....I never would have guessed we were in a smoking room, but I guess we were. The housekeeping wasn't the greatest and one of the doors under our kitchenette sink fell apart (oh and the toilet clogged and we were all roused from sleep by the jazz band playing under our balcony when we were sick...this part of our trip was certainly not the highlight!) but there was no hint of being in a smoking room. I can't recall there being a no smoking sign....but then again we don't really pay attention to that!

Second floor is convenient...

My sister stayed in a room on the non-smoking floor that had a non-smoking sign posted right on its door and yet the room reeked of smoke. It was horrible.

I believe part of the second floor may be non-smoking. When we were on the 3rd floor last year, we took the steps down to get out, but they were working on the first floor, so we could not exit. We went up to the second floor and walked to the lobby to get out. I noticed the rooms closer to the lobby had the no smoking symbol on the doors.

I can't remember the room number, but here are 2 views from a 1BR at BWV.

Maybe that's it because we were very close to the lobby. Our balcony was right over the walkway between the arcade and the Wyland Gallery. There were no ashtrays in the room.
