OK, I' ve called the doctor's office once............

.................and was told they didn't yet get the results from radiology. I called radiology and they tell me that the office DOES have the results. I don't want to seem pushy, but gosh darn it, I WANT TO KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON! Why don't doctor's realize that for every lab result they have in their office, there is a HUMAN waiting to hear what it says!

Honestly, I wonder the same thing. Especially when the results are THERE. How difficult is it for a doctor or nurse to get on the phone and read them to you? I really wonder if THEY have to wait for results like that. Probably not.

Here's hoping things are OK and you get your results soon. The waiting is the worst part.

I know it's hard to wait like that. Does your dr's office have a policy regarding lab results? A lot of times the results need to be reviewed by a dr and that can't be done if he/she is seeing patients. In our dr's office he looks at the result at lunch time (usless it's urgent) and then one of the nurses calls in the afternoon. It's frustrating to wait but at least we know the policy. We're also asked not to call looking for results because that just ties up the phone.

There's a lump on my husband's neck.


That clears up all the confusion, now doesn't it.

They can not determine whether it is simply a swollen, infected lymph node or if there is a mass on the node.

If it responds to the antibiotics, it was an infection. If not and it doesn't clear, they will need to do a biopsy.

Could someone please tell me why in the #$@% did they need to do the catscan if it wouldn't tell us what the &^%$ they are looking at!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now we have to wait til Tues evening to see the specialist.
