I'm taking the family to the resort over the Halloween Week as sort of everyone's birthday gift for this year from me.

The first day that everyone will be there (for a park visit) is on Tuesday, Halloween itself--3 of us arrive on the 29th; the other 4 on the eve of the 30th.

SO... We have tickets to Mickey's Halloween Treat at DCA for the 31st, 630 - 1030 pm, and during our stay, that is the only day that the Block Party Bash is running at DCA--according to the current calendar. HOWEVER...the 31st is also the last official day of Halloween decorations at Disneyland itself....

The dilemma is this... Should we go to DCA all day, see the BPB Parade at 430, leave for dinner (DCA closes at 5pm) and then go back at 630 for the Halloween festivities OR are the Halloween decorations at Disneyland not to be missed, so we go to that park in the morning, leave at 4ish for the BPB across the walkway, and then dinner, etc as above...????

We have the rest of the week to go back and forth between the parks--we leave on Saturday--so there's plenty of time for everything else that is currently shown on the event calendar.......

If I seem a tad neurotic; please forgive me--This is mom's, my 2 brothers (Nick and Bob) and my first time back since 1994 (when the family moved to the east coast) and it is Kelli, Deb (Kel's mom) and (nephew) Andy's first time ever... So I'm trying to squeeze everything possible into the 4/5 days we will be there. My brother, Bob owns a restaurant in MD and Kelli is at Johns-Hopkins, so I had to start planning this last November, to ensure they could get away at all.....

Thanks in advance for your thoughts......
Michael.

Anyway; can't wait!!

I would spend the first part of the day at DL, head over for BPB, then have dinner and return for the halloweein thing.

It's really hard to answer. This is the first year that Disneyland is going all out for Halloween. There are have been a few decorations here and there in the past. But this is the first time they are announcing it and making a big deal.

I'd say start your day at Disneyland. It's a slow time of the year, so you could get a lot done. Then head over to CA Adventure for the block party.

I'd say start at DL. I haven't seen the Halloween Roundup yet (it starts on Friday) but it sounds like it'll be pretty good (a couple of my CM friends are in it, so it'll be great on the days they're working). I can't wait to go into the park this weekend and see all the decorations up.

Thanks, all...

I am leaning that way, too.

Besides; even though everyone is excited, this trip is for my nephew most of all... And he can't stop talking about going to Disneyland... :mickeyjum

Can't wait!!!

Block Party Bash is running Friday November 3rd at 5:15pm. We're staying at the GC Oct. 31st-November 4th and our plan is to hit DL and see all the Halloween decorations during the day on the 31st and then head over to MHT! Less than 5 weeks to go now!
