This past weekend I went with a friend to abercrombie to buy this shirt she had wanted for awhile, and as we were waiting to check out, this mom and daughter (the girl was probably 14-15ish) were together. Well the girl was being downright nasty to her mom. Rude, insensitive, bad-mannered, very selfish to her mom! She was totally UNappreciative of what her mother was buying her. So, do you all act that way toward your parents? I hope not....

I don't think so... but my sister does. Whenever she gets on the computer, she yells at everyone and if you get her off to do something she'll act nasty. Actually a couple of weeks ago, she threatened that she would commit suicide if she wasn't allowed to sleep round her friend's house :-O

She's banned from the laptop for the rest of the week right now because she wouldn't come to Greenwich with us today and yelled at my mum when she wasn't allowed her friend round (saying I always get what I want) and other reasons.

No!
If my mom takes me shopping, ANYWHERE, i always say thank you.
:)
Its just plain polite, and besides, i appreciate what I have.

Not at all. My mom does spoil me rotten ($500 in one day!) sometimes, but I'm always very grateful.

The money does come from somewhere, though. My dad likes to eat out a lot and the deal is that every week that I choose to stay home and eat a 59 cent box of Mac and Cheese instead of a $30 meal out, that $30 goes towards my shopping fund. I had to not eat out for a long time to get that $500 in a day!

I definitely would never act that way towards either of my parents.
No matter how angry they make me, I always demand the highest respect for them.

My sister however, can't seem to stay out of trouble. She is constantly getting privelidges taken away. Then she tells my mom that she only does things like that because I can do whatever I want. But I only get to do what I do because I stay out of trouble.

I almost ended up having to end things with my boyfriend (of over a year) because his mother was totally disrespecting my mom. She yelled at my mom right in front of me, over something my sister had done that my mom didn't know anything about.

That is just NOT something I will stand for.

I guess the bottom line is, I pretty much stick to the things my parents say. Not saying I don't act up sometimes, and I earn my fair share of punishments, for stupid little things, but for the most part my parents and I get along.

I usually thank my parents when they buy me stuff (usually just something like thanks ma, you're a doll)but if you catch me on a bad day, then yea I am the spoiled disrespectful kid. But my mom totally understands lol

I will occasionally get a little whiney to get what I want, but I'm never rude or horrible about it.
I get whiney to an extent.
But I always end it with a huge 'thank you!'

I don't act like that around my parents. I always say thank you when they buy me something. Sometimes I don't want to go shopping because I don't have money to spend. My parents get mad at me for that

That's an awesome deal!
I'm gonna try to sell my parents on that one.. :upsidedow

But yeah, I'm crazy polite to adults.
ESPECIALLY when they're buying me stuff!
I hate when people don't say thank you.
I mean, really, how much effort does it take?!

Isn't it?! It goes for money for trips to Disney and such, too. No more big shopping days for me for a while because I want to save as much as I can for France in July and WDW in August (and December!).

No way, never! My mom is actually my best friend. I love my parents so much.

Yeah, I am spoiled though I guess. I usually get whatever I ask for but I think it's just their way of rewarding me for being such a good kid.

it would rarely happen but i confess i have done that before but i know better now, i mean God wouldn't want that! i always say thank u and ur the best!

I would have turned around and said something. I hate selfish kids like that.

I've been working at McDonalds and see it all the time. eeghghgh

my mom will mess around with me but jokingly, such as, "wow you really are blonde."
and such on.
so I will sometimes do it back, but we are always joking around so its cool.

I am RARELY, if ever rude to my mother.
I truly appreciate her, and everything she does for me.
She is an amazing, hilarious, fun, down to earth woman who does everything and anything to keep her family happy.

My sister on the other hand...doesn't exactly see it that way.
She's got an attitude like you wouldn't believe. Complete disregard for any discipline/authority and no respect for my mother (or father) at all!!
You cannot tell her ANYTHING, if I try and tell her something she snaps "you're not my mother!!" and I have to remind her that "uhh...helooo...you don't LISTEN to your mother."
Anyways, it's getting to a point now where it's REALLY starting to piss me off (so sorry if I rant...)
But my sister would probably be the girl in A&F being rude to her mom for not getting her way.

I don't know what makes the difference between my sister & I. I guess I'm just more sentimental and empathetic than her.
Oh...and I understand the concept of respect! :rolleyes1

I try to be as appreciative as I can. I say thank you so many times, and give them hugs and tell them I love them.
I'm pretty good with my parents, we do stuff together and talk most nights.
It's the mornings that I regret. I get really frustrated in the morning when everything I need is missing, and it seems like I'm going to be late for school. I cuss (not at my parents, just at inanimate objects), I scream, I yell.. etc.
Sometimes though, I'll start arguing with my mum.
I always end up apologizing, because I'm so afraid she's going to be sad from what I say.

::yes::

Whenever I argue with my mom I always go back a few minutes later (when I've calmed down) and apologize and try and talk about something happy. I hate the thought of other people feeling sad.

I hate hate hate shopping with my mom.
So when I do, I have a tendancy to get a little snappy with her.
I don't like being around either one of my parents for too much time at once.
I don't talk to either of them about anything important.
But I do tell my mom I love her and thank you enough that she knows I appreciate her.

nope
i am so lucky for what i have but i accually appretiate what i have
i can get kinda mean sometimes but im not like that
i am always thanking my mom whenever i get something even if its just like a pack of gum or a candy bar
i love my parents to death
