OK, I give up on Searchcactus...

I tried this program, I gave it my best. I followed the advice from people on this board. But, I am not getting credit. I did today at least 30 searches, and I always leave them up for at least 1 minute, and I made sure that I didn't click on the same site twice, and I only got .09 today. This is a continual thing for me on this program, so I give up.

You may want to give it one more shot. I don't know if people have suggested this way - but this is what I do.

I log on to my account.

When I see my balance I hit control N and open another window. This window is identical to the one with your point balance on it.

One of the windows I use for searching. The other window, I use to check my balance by refreshing the screen.

So, (I always use the left one for my search window) I'll type in "adoption". After the window for adoption starts to load, I hit refresh in the other. If (and it usually does) it adds .01 then I hit the back button in my search window.

Then I type in my next word and refresh the right window after the next site begins to load.

I had a hard time starting this program too. But once I caught on (and it took some time), it was easy. I got my first check a week ago & am expecting my DH's next month.

Have you tried (Searchcactus Assistance)? Its under rjsoft.com. Then look under products,
it's labeled SCA. I use it daily, its very easy. If you have a cable modem it downloads in 2 seconds. Good luck

How do you use SCA? I downloaded it, but it just sits there with an advertisement. There are no words to click or anything??

Does the advertisement say something like "if you like this program, please click on the sponsors"? If so, just right-click and click "close". You should have three windows in SCA. An advertisement across the top, a left window with a list of words and right side window that the searches will be done in. Just double-click on any word and in a few seconds, the searches for that word will appear. From there, just use it like regular Search Cactus.

If your screen doesn't look like this, you might need to re-download it.
