OK here we go

Going to DVC BWV for 10 days
arriving on day one at 12 noon
leaving on day 10 at 2pm

Would like to go every day for a short amount of time and not worry about going
Me, My Wife and one year old will be going again within a year
My other three kids, 13, 10, and 6 will only be going on this trip and in two years.
We are bringing my mother in law with us on this trip only this year.

We usually go every other day to the parks but then we have to commando it to get our money's worth. Then we take the in between days to hang out at the hotel. It would be nice to be able to go to the epcot show each night, but is it worth it?

I am seriously thinking about APs for all of us or 7 day park hopper plus tickets.

Under these circumstances what would you do?

I'd go for AP's for you and your wife. 7 day hopper plus passes for the kids, a 5 day hopper for MIL. One Yr old doesn't need a park pass yet .
You and DW will get two trips out of the APs so I'd be pretty sure they work out best, the kids can use any left over days on the next trip and MIL may prefer to have a day or so relaxing and not go to the parks. If she does need an extra park day she can buy a one day ticket.

With the kids, on this trip I'll bet you end up with a similar style to your "regular" trips. If it's just you, DW and baby going later in the year, it will give you the chance to take the "visit a little each day route". I'd probably do Illuminations a couple of times in that situation, IMHO going every night would make a pretty special experience feel a little "samey".

What's best depends on your park style. If you plan to go to the parks basically every day but not do the water parks, I'd say go with the AP for anyone that will return then either the UMP or 7 day PH for the rest. While I doubt you would use every option on the 7 day PH, any left overs would be good forever and therefore you could use them later. If you plan to do DQ several times and water parks this and the next trip you may want to consider a PAP for those that will go again. You can get discounts on the AP, PAP and the like through venues like AAA and some of the online tickets sellers including advance purchase at the Disney Store. Some of the online sellers have additional plus options, usually 2 extra, so a 5 day pass with 4 options for the regular price might also be a good deal for some in your situation.

Even this trip alone you are probably going to more or less break even, and there is always the chance that plans will change and for each family member who DOES go back within a year you will kick yourself for not having bought an AP.

You will not have to budget your days and it will make your trip less stressful. AP's all around!

I would get a 7 day park hopper pass for your mother as well because if she doesn't use it you will have it in 2 years for your next big family trip. Definitely AP's for your wife and yourself!

A premium annual pass is equal to approximately ten days of unlimited magic pass (length of stay) if done in two trips, and about fourteen days if done in one trip.

For two trips and more than eleven days I suggest the PAP over hopper plus passes.
