ok do i get the paying ahead/package stuff right

we finally have decided on taking the kids and gb to wdw for our 30 anniversary( forget Paris) and since that won't be till probably sept 06 i would like to start now paying for it so is this right?

i can only get the $35 dining plan add on if i book a package including tickets and resort. btw is that a permanent thing ( the dining plan)

i can book now and pay ahead and if a better rate comes out change for the better rate without penalties up until i pay in full at 45 days out...so what if a better rate comes out 42 days out...am i stuck paying more???

i need to get the same tickets for everyone? I was thinking of getting an ap if need be for a better rate and hubby and i getting the 10 day noexpire hoppers , others fewer days no expire hopper so that wouldn't be possible???. I would need 3 rooms if that would help make it doable. ie could i have 1 ressie without tickets in cause i use the ap( could i then use it for all 3 rooms if the rate was good???i know you can get 3 rooms with the ap rate but what about if the dining and passes are added on... is that possible), book one with the shorter day passes and one for me & hub with longer passes or is there an easier way.also would i have to watch rates and change as need be actually making new ressies or will they just change the ressies to a new rate.

finally what is the deposit for a package like that 3 nights resort charge ( for 3 rooms), then everything else paid by 45 days out or what

i've always booked everything my self seperately but the dining plan sounds pretty good to me as all our meals would be paid for also( then the kids would only have to pay to get there and spending $$) and from what i get you can only get that with a complete package...has anyone done this both ways and has it saved them money with the dining or how do most feel about it? to bad it isn't the free dining but doubt it will still be around then!

This is a trip you are planning for Sept 2006?

If that is the case, I would hold off on actually booking anything at this time.

First, September is their slowest season.....you should have no issues getting resort rooms as time gets closer

Second, since that is the case, there will be specials run next summer to try to entice people to come down in September.

This year, they are giving the meal plan for free from August 21st to October 4th specifically to get people down in September. If it is a success, which it seems to be so far, who knows...they may repeat it next year!

Now, as far as rooms, I think you need to specify how many people, ages, relations, etc.......You mention 3 rooms, but not who will occupy them. Are you looking at 3 Value Resort rooms, 3 Moderate or 3 Deluxe? If you are looking at Mods or Deluxes, you may want to look at renting a 2 or 3 BR villa from Beach Club, Boardwalk, Wilderness, Old Key West or Saratoga Springs. It might be comparable to 3 separate rooms pricewise (maybe even less than 3 deluxe rooms) and give you a full kitchen, washer/dryer, TV/DVD player, Jacuzzi and other ammenities.

I do think that the meal plan requires everyone on the ressie to buy the same ticket......but one thing you can do is buy the lowest ticket you need for everyone, then when you get to the park, pay the extra to upgrade the ones you want. (In other words, if the shortest ticket you want for someone is a 5 day hopper, then get everyone a 5 day hopper, then upgrade you and hubby to AP, others to a 10 day, etc)

You would have to check to see what the deposit would be. If it is 3 rooms, with full packages, my guess is a couple of hundred per room deposit.

Also I would like to add that the dining plan has gone up in price for 2006. It is $37.99 per adult and $10.99 per child. Maybe you will get the dining plan free since you are going in September.
