I'm so confused! :lmao:

I havent' posted in awhile and haven't been walking like I thought I would the past few weeks..

That being said, I have posted before about something my diabetes educator mentioned about the Leslie Sansone DVD's having some sort of way to track your walking pace....

I think there were a lot of posts that all of the DVD's can do that and are built in to the work-out, but when I researched online and saw so many, now I'm overwhelmed!

Those of you who walk and us the Leslie Sansone DVD's which one(s) specifically do you like etc.?

I am a new walker and pretty out of shape at this point.

Thanks all!

My advice would be to start slow and easy. Get a DVD that has a few shorter workouts on it...the WATP "5-day Fit Walk" has five shorter workouts that are really good. It has an 18 minute 1 mile "get up and get started", a 30 minute 2 mile "high calorie burn", another 30 minute 2 mile walk, a 30 minute "Walk and Kick" that I really like, and a 20 minute "Power Mile" that uses light handweights. That would be a GREAT DVD to get you started. I bought it not that long ago at Target (probably within the past year) so it shouldn't be that hard to find.

If you get more ambitious and want to do more than 30 minutes, you could always do a 1 mi and a 2 mi walk back to back.... or one in the evening and one in the morning.

Good luck with your exercise!..............P

If possible, you might want to get a few LS DVDs from the library. My neighbor and I used to do at least 2 mi of LS every weekday. It got to the point we hated some of the people in the video & I would typically mute LS and blast my own music.

She is a great starting point & even if you don't use her belts, handweights or other goofy entrapments, you at least walked a few miles when all is said and done. Great option for winter, rainy days, or when kids are napping and you can't get out of the house...

I like her newer videos more, the ones where she is alone. Some of my faves are Walk Your Belly Flat, 5 Mile Fat Burning Walk, Walk Away Your Waistline, Punch Up Your Walk, Walk Off Even More Weight.

The older ones of hers with a group of people walking with her are not as good to me as others. But that's my opinion.

If you are just starting out, I recommend trying to find her older (first) series "walk away the pounds." Her newer videos (like Walk Slim) are a little higher intensity and great to progress to.
