I may have gotten a bit carried away with this trip. We (me, DH,DD,DS,and DM) are going down to the world in mid October. We wanted to be at VWL for MNSSHP and proximity to MK, the lake activities, etc, wanted to try a Beach Cottage at Vero, and wanted to share the Food and Wine Festival with my Mom without having to bus back at the end of the night.

What I did (hope I don't regret this) is book a 2 bd VWL for the first three nights - MNSSHP and use the Dining Plan for our favorite (read expensive) restaurants, followed by a 2 day break at a Beach Cottage at Vero (no hurricanes this year please!) and then back for 2 nights in a 2 bedroom at Beach Club to enjoy the Food and Wine Festival and let the kids ride MGM and Epcot rides to their hearts content.

Anyone ever done that many moves in one week and live to tell???

DH and I did 1 night at OKW then 2 nights in Bradenton, then 1 night at PORS witht he final night at OKW. No kids in tow though so that may make a difference. That was AFTER he insisted that when we go in September we not change rooms at all = I wanted to save on some weekend points but he said if he had to leave the first unit is was to go to the airport. We had a great time and would do it again. Packing bags knowing you will be changing resorts can help I found. Everything for the first resort in one bag, second resort the same etc. Then you don't have to even open some of them until needed. Things needed for all resorts went in the carry on (bathing suits and toiletries.) Of course you will have the washer and dryer so that may not be an issue for you. We had two bags and the carry on and after the second day designated one for clean clothes and one for dirty; then washed them all the last night at OKW. Have a wonderful time-

When my friends and I went down last summer, there were 8 of us and because we were travelling Saturday-Saturday we stayed at the Dolphin for the first and last nights to save money. Moving wasn't a big deal...I would however recommend bringing a smaller bag in addition to your suitcase...that way you can have what you'll need set aside...your suitcase can stay packed during your stay. I found that to work well.

...looks like I'm going to be doing something similar in January :)

Thanks, those are good ideas. Packing with the schedule in mind will be a lot easier than rummaging in the depths of the suitcase for that one elusive poncho or halloween costume!
