Ok, am I being chicken?

We are supposed to fly out to New York into JFK on Sunday. This bad weather has me about concerned about flying. I don't live where it is icy and snowy and never travel by plane where it is icy and snowy.

Am I being a big ole chicken worrying about this flight?

I wouldn't worry too much about it. from what I've seen, the airports usually have the best plowing and de-icing equipment going. I would be more worried about driving to your local store than landing at an airport runway.

Normally I do not mind flying much. One of the people who works for me is based out of RI and she has been going on and on and on about the weather to the point I am getting jittery. but then of course she also suggested I just change my plans and go to WDW instead. Gotta love her!

I don't think you will have a problem at all. Our local roads are already pretty clear. By Sunday, you'll be fine.

I've taken off and landed at JFK in some very terrible ice and snow - they know what they're doing - no worries.

I have a bunch of friends flying into NYC tomorrow and Friday. The airports had delays this morning but it is back in business now.

That is good to hear! I was looking on Google News trying to see if there had been any delays or closures. Most the stuff I could find was just "airport in the NE have had...." but nothing JFK specific.
