Now I am looking for some counter service advice.

Your recommendations and why for the following:

Counter Service Magic Kingdom:

Counter Service Epcot:

Counter Service Hollywood Studio:

Counter Service Animal Kingdom:

I think at HS we are leaning towards Pizza Planet, because the kids are already asking for that... by the way the kids are 4 and 6... so looking for something we can all enjoy.

Based on the pics in the food porn thread, my top CS pic for Magic Kindom is Cosmic Rays. Those double cheeseburgers looked amazing. YUM.

We also plan on a CS meal at Wolfgang Puck Express and again, it was the food porn post that got me. The pizza from there looked awesome!!!

MK - We plan on eating on Cosmic Ray's too. They seem to have the largest selection for adults. The kid menu is limited...salad with grilled chicken, chicken nuggets or pb&j.

HS - ABC Commissary because my DH wants to try the cuban sandwich.

AK - Just a snack for lunch. i don't like any of their counter service.

Epcot - a few snacks from world showcase

Now I am looking for some counter service advice.

Your recommendations and why for the following:

Counter Service Magic Kingdom:Cosmic Rays--love the barbecued pork sandwich and DH loved the turkey wrap; good entertainment

Counter Service Epcot:We like Sunshine Seasons--something for everyone

Counter Service Hollywood Studio:None--we leave the park and have counter service at a resort

Counter Service Animal Kingdom:Flame Tree Barbecue--love the barbecued pork sandwich and DH loves the chicken

We have never eaten at Pizza Planet--we don't do Florida pizza. But I understand they have some good salads.

Counter Service Magic Kingdom:Cosmic Rays
Counter Service Epcot:Morocco (name escapes me again) or Sunshine SeasonsCounter Service Hollywood Studio: got nothin for you.:sad2:

Counter Service Animal Kingdom: Flame Tree - our fave CS

Fyi - Pizza Planet used to be our kids fave until this past Sept. My DS5 loves pizza and he took one bite and wouldn't finish it. DD6 ate 2 bites then she was done. DH and I both had the veggie pizza and it was undercooked and all we could taste was green/red peppers. Even the salad was sad and wilted. :sad2: We are on a mission to try and find a new CS at DHS. ;)

At MK, I like Columbia Harbor House because it's never crowded. Somewhat hidden in the passageway from Fantasyland to Liberty Square and vastly overshadowed by the nearby Pinocchio Haus, CHH is ignored by most and rejected by some who are disappointed to learn that it is not a seafood restuarant as the name might lead one to believe. I have repeatedly been pleasantly surprised to find short lines and empty tables for 8 at CHH during the lunch rush.

CHH's food won't win any awards but the eclectic menu is a welcome departure from burgers and pizza. I don't think you'll find a hummus sandwich or vegetarian chili in a bread bowl at many Disney counter service joints. If such fare is too weird for the kids, there are the standard chicken nuggets as well as fish and chips.

At DHS, my favorite is Backlot Express, mainly a burger and hot dog joint. Again, BE is often overlooked, somewhat hidden behind Star Tours. I mainly like the place because of the impressive fixins bar. If you've ever been to Fuddrucker, you know what I'm talking about; BE may have even more choices to top your burger, dog, fries, etc. You could easily build an entree salad that would cost you ten bucks at a table service restaurant.

We lean more towards all America type foods. Here are our favorites:

Magic Kingdom:

Pecos Bill's: They have great burgers and the fixin's bar is fabulous. It has sauteed mushrooms and onions as well as the traditional burgers fixings. Oh, yeah, they also have fresh salsa which is great. There bbq sandwich is very tasty too.

Epcot:
The counter service restaurant in China (I forgot the name) has good orange chicken.

Electric Umbrella: Just your normal burgers and chicken. I like their tossed island chicken salad too. You get free drink refills.

Hollywood Studios:

Toy Story Pizza Planet: My son's favorite place to eat at Hollywood Studios.

Catalina Eddie's: The hot italian sandwich is good and their pizzas are okay too.

Animal Kingdom:

Pizzafari: I love their chicken caesar salad.

Flame Tree: Everything on their menu is very tasty.
