HI DIS Friends, :flower:

Obviously, we have the Incredibles DVD and my brother, who's visitng, watched it and insists Enda, the fashion designer is a woman -- same goes with my 8 year old boy and 7 year girl.

I watched the movie four times and I insist that Edna is a man.

What's the real gender?

Thanks!

Edna is a woman. However the person who provided her voice is not. ;)

I thought Edna was a woman, too. Although I believe I read somewhere that the male director did the voice.

From Disney's Incredibles trading card of her:

Definitely female, definitely voiced by a male (Brad Bird, film director and writer) and definitely the best part of the film ;)

I also have the interactive Edna and she is great fun!

Cya,
Gaspodé

Oh I want the interactive Edna, I was wondering if she was fun. Hmmmm...thanks Gaspode! I agree, she is the BEST!

LOL, she's great! We were in FL on holiday when Incredibles was released so saw it twice whilst there. I thought Edna was fabby so went out and bought the interactive one and brought her all the way home (we have her in stores here now but I had mine first ;)). Some of the stuff she says is hilarious and she looks great on my desk. I also have the Babbling Boo doll :)

There isn't enough Edna stuff so she is definitely worth it!

Cya,
Gaspodé

I never thought she was anything other than a woman. She is great! Love her!!

I don't see how anyone can think she's a man. She looks and acts like a woman to me :confused3

Well, she/he kind of reminds me of "Frank" in the Father of the Bride movies. Also, she reminds me of "Miss J" on America's Next Top Model. He/she looks like he/she could be a man in the fashion world ;)

I swear her character was copied from a quirky photographer/editor person from the old Sports Illustrated Swim Suit model show....it was a reality show maybe in the late 80's or early 90's where they showed the process of picking the models, locations and photographers, and then she was the one who picked the cover photo and called the model with the news...anyone remember it? Anyway, she had the same manorisms, hair, big glasses and husky voice.

I thought that she may have been inspired by Edith Head (famous movie fashion designer).
