Yes, you’ll be able to see it, and it’s wonderful because it won’t be nearly as crowded as it would be on a regular park day.
I think my biggest tip is don’t feel like you have to arrive at the beginning of check in. You’ll stand in a long line that isn’t necessary. If I remember right, check in starts two hours before they allow you into the parks. We usually check in about 45-60 minutes before.
We’ve had good luck getting on Hagrid at about 10pm with a reasonable wait, but that may just be luck.
If you want to eat the free food right when the event starts, I would go somewhere besides the Wizarding World. Those lines are long at the beginning.
