DAY 5 MAGIC KINGDOM & EPCOT Food & Wine Festival Friday

WHOOOSH!… :earseek: LOVIN’ that potty alarm! Our last full day at Disney World. Trying not to think about it... Cup-o-Joe & fruit bars and the kids picked the Magic Kingdom for the morning!

We caught the bus with little wait, :cool1: and got our own seats. We had been noticing a large amount of groups consisting of folks with downs syndrome (my guess) around the resort, and there was one of these groups on the bus. One youngster was taken back by my sons Stitch ears & large hands and I was impressed by how my son did not shy away from him , but embraced him for who he was, as they talked during the commute. We started talking to the group leader and discovered they regularly bring groups to tour WDW. I’m always impressed by Disney’s heart. On our Disney cruise we had a moving experience with a young lady whom we discovered had received the trip from Make-A-Wish (we posted a report if you want to look it up)
The MK was not crowded as this evening was the 1st MNSSHP event so people who would be attending, avoided the MK. Walk on for most rides as we re-rode all of our favorites. Our 15 yr old niece was disappointed we did not have the “cute” jungle cruise captain we had the previous ride! But she was ecstatic that she got her picture taken with Aladdin, as her name is Jasmine. We had an early CS lunch at Pecos Bills and it was Fabulous! Bacon Dbl Cheese Burgers, Chili Cheese Fries, Chicken Wraps & Pulled Pork Sandwiches! And a fixins’ bar to DIE for! Tell me your mouth ain’t watering as you read this!! :earboy2: Still we threw a lot of food away as we just could NOT eat it all! We left the MK right after the afternoon parade and my DW walked down Main street backwards trying to squeeze in as much of the MK as she could, as we exited for the last time. :wave2: PS..I did buy those cool engraved wine glasses at the crystal shop that someone mentioned to me in a prior post!
We Mono-hopped to Epcot, ready for wine & snacking around the World Showcase! This time I remembered our Disney Visa card and we did the Meet & Greet program in Inoventions. They kind of rushed us through, but we got a good free picture out it. We let the kids hit MS ant TT then we told em it was our time! Margaritas in Mexico, I loved the Cherry Kajafa from Sweden, I believe, we tried several deserts, our favorite we the crème briolette from France. I was surprised to see we could use our snack credits for most food items, but if you wanted wine you had to perform 2 separate transactions. Also we tortured our kids by singing along with KANSAS as they were performing live. “Dust in the wind” & “Carry on my wayward son” never sounded better! ::yes:: We had 7:00 ressies at Restaurant Marrakesh. This place was very atmospheric; the roasted lamb was to die for! And the belly dancer wasn’t too shabby either! :smooth: Our 15 year old fell in “:like” with our waiters assistant and drank 15 glasses of water so he would keep returning to fill it. Once again everyone “ate outside of the box” trying items not on our everyday menu at home. Dinner was great! After dinner we made our way to the front of EPCOT. Trying to exact revenge for the KANSAS serenade the kids started wailing “Part of Your World” and many passers by jumped in and helped. We rode Spaceship Earth and exited as Illuminations was starting, we had watched it on Tues, and we easily caught a bus back to POP.

As my wife was furiously packing, I decided it was SLUSHEE TIME…

“TALES OF THE BLUE SLUSHEE” part IV --- Revenge or the Mug Kids ---

Slightly Blue stained mugs in hand I approached the deliverer of blue goo and noticed the “mug-kids” in a scrum round the deliverer of blue goo. :rolleyes2 Occasionally a head would pop up and search the perimeter, resembling those prairie dogs on nature channel. As I entered the beverage area thinking of a plan…They SCATTERED!.. Good little submissive “mug kids” I thought ::yes:: .. As I grasped the gleaming handle, Mug under spout, I heard a sickening SPLUURT!, BLUURP!,SPLAAT!…. NOOOOOO! They drained it! Numb and dejected I performed a “MugWash” at the designated “MugWash” station and violated my mugs with the Brown “back-up” slushee. Head down, as I walked to my room I could have sworn I heard, from the bushes, rattling and what sounded like giggling “Munchkins” quietly echoing.. :sad2:

We all swam in the pool for a while, then sadly retired knowing this was our last evening to go to sleep hearing the chorus of parents yelling at the top of their lungs “BE QUIET” “People might be tryin to sleep” as children noisily played at the pool till midnight!

But at least we have a half day at MGM tomorrow! :goodvibes

To Be Continued… :wave2:

Sorry it took me so long to post the next part..I've been tres busy since returning from WDW! 1 more report to go.

Was wondering what happened to you!!! Enjoyed your previous reports and glad to hear nothing's changed with the wakeup call (woosh) and the pool lady ;) Will anxiously await your final day (and a little sad no more to read :sad1:
