Ohio question

DH and I are planning a driving trip to Ohio this summer with the four kids....ages 11-15 to Cedar Point and hoping to hit Kings Dominon as well. Just wondering if anyone from Ohio might know the number of miles between them! Any suggestions, comments or ideas for this trip. I do know however we are planning on staying at Marriotts with points...other then that nothing is planned. BYW we will be driving from Nh.

I assume you mean Kings Island (the park near Cincinatti). Kings Dominion is in Virginia.

Anyway, mapquest lists the miles between the 2 amusement parks at approximately 215 miles. It is quite a drive since Cedar Point is in the northernmost part of the state and Kings Island is in the southern most part.

Sounds like a great trip (especially if you are coaster fanatics -like me!)

It would be about a four-hour drive from Sandusky to Kings Mills. You're driving almost the entire length of the state, north-south.

We are huge coaster fans!! DH and I spent our honeymoon at Cedar Point. I guess I did mean Kings Island....I was confused!
I knew that they were just about oposite ends of the state....just didn't know what the miles/hours they were. Can't wait for this trip!!! Thanks for you input!

If you are big coaster fans then I would definately consider staying at a Cedar Point property. They have early park hours for resort guests. You can get in a few rides on the best coasters before the rest of the public gets in! Also, I would definately recommend using their fastpass system (I can't remember the exact name of it.) Esentially, you can get 2 handstamps (one for each) that gives you the opportunity at a certain time to by-pass the long lines. It is very similar to Disney's except that you are limited to 2 a day. Also, they hand a very limited number per hour. Each coaster has a booth near it's entrance that tells what time they will hand out the stamps. I recommend checking the booths for the 2 coasters you most want (highly recommend TopThrill Dragster and Millenuium Force) immediately to see when they will be handing out the stamps for that day. Plan to get to the booth to get the stamp about 20 minutes before the start time. Those 20 minutes could save you 2+ hours in waiting for those coasters!!!

Sorry, I can't give you any pointers on Kings Island because I haven't been there for a number of years!
