We have been debating back and forth between. Ohana's and Cape May Cafe for our rehearsal dinner.

For past brides can you tell me what to expect and maybe post some pictures.

Did you need to give a deposit when you go to book through group reservations for that?

On average how much did it cost per person on average?

Thanks

We Had Ours At Ohanas Food Was Great We Had About 22 People, We Did Not Need A Deposit For The Reservation, I'm Prety Sure It Was Like $27 A Person For An Adult, That Includes Dessert, And Non Alcoholic Drinks, Try Allears .net They Have Menus And Prices For All Restaurants!, My Tr Has Pics Fr Rehearsal Dinner (bobbie And David)

I am deciding between Cape May and Ohana for my rehearsal dinner as well. Cape May is $26.99 plus beverages and gratuity. Ohana is the same price but includes coffee, tea, and soda. I am hoping it would be around $40 in person but it would depend on how many people ordered alcoholic drinks. I haven't eaten at either one but I am going to when I go down for my planning session.

Not sure if you're aware - but 'Ohana is in the middle of a menu overhaul right now. I know they already changed some of the things off their menu and it's rumored that the maui potatoes are being replaced. I might change our reception dinner over it. :confused3

I think the prices are pretty similar.

There are two main differences IMO. First, Ohana is a LOT easier to get to. You can get there on the monorail from Epcot or MK, and any guests that aren't visiting parks can take a bus to one of those resorts and switch to the monorail. It's not nearly as easy to get to the Beach Club, particularly if you have guests that won't be visiting parks.

Second, at Ohana the servers come to your table, so you won't have people jumping up and down (except during the activities!) At Cape May Cafe you have to serve yourself, except for drinks, so people will be jumping up and down to serve themselves.

I personally think the food and atmosphere at Ohana are a lot better and more special for an event like a RD.

GL with your decision!

Trust me, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I've been following the restaurant boards pretty closely since it's my reception choice and a few of the waiters have mentioned that the potatoes are on their way out. I know CMs are known to give inaccurate information so I'm really, really hoping because those were my favorite.

The bread is a coconut bread and I -hate- coconut. I'm just so disappointed overall at the changes. :confused3

We had our rehearsal dinner at Ohana's and we had a great time! Everyone loved it! I can't remember the exact price but what the other poster said sounds about right to me. The only word of warning I have is that we did not discuss with them whether or not we would have an open bar and the waiters went around telling people that we had an open bar. We told them to stop, but that was after they were already through half of the guests. Luckily, only about five people drank so it wasn't critical, but I suggest that you talk that over with them first if this is a concern for you. Otherwise, we had a wonderful time!

We have eaten at both many times and love both. I know 'Ohana is doing some changes to their menu now and we hope to try it out when we are there this coming May for our planning session. The only reason I would pick 'Ohana over Cape May is like a previous poster said - they bring the food to you and you get plenty of it. We love buffets but I think for this type of dinner it would be easier then having everyone constantly jumping up to get their food.
