DS has requested going to Ohanas for dinner--not breakfast--but has a peanut allergy. I know there is peanut dipping sauce which we could ask not to be brought to the table. Is there peanut in the noodles? anything else??? Anyone go here with a peanut allergy and have a "good" or "bad" experience. My son LOVES Stitch and wants to eat here badly. We have all other breakfasts accounted for...

Sorry, but dinner isn't a character meal. Maybe, you could change one of you breakfast ressies, if he really wants to see Stitch.

I am also in the same boat. We have booked O'hana and my DH also has a peanut allergy. This is one place I am a bit nervous about so I intend to ask to speak to the chef. In the past, we have done so at other restaurants and they are very careful and outline exactly what is safe to eat.
I am going to do this again for this particular spot

hi
We were there for dinner- not a character meal, but still alot of fun!-my dsis-in law is allergic to shell fish and gluten, I put this on our reservation and the chef came to our table asked her if she wanted a special meal made, she said no, and he told her everything that she could eat- meat, veggies and ice cream, etc. and brought the shrimp on a different platter than the meat. As long as you tell the reservationist and the server they will help you!

'Ohana, like any Disney restaurant, is set up to handle special dietary restrictions. Have it noted on your reservation and mention it again when you check-in, and also to your server. They will have the chef come out to talk to you about your particular concerns and will prepare something that works.

My DD has a life threatening peanut allergy and 'Ohana is one of our favorite places to eat! They are fantastic with allergies. You need to check everytime with your server and they will pass it on to the chef. Chef TJ is now at 'Ohana and is so awesome! He will tell you what you can and can't eat and accomodate any likes and dislikes around that as well. This might change at any time, but she could not have the peanut dipping sauce at our table, the bread or dessert with bread pudding. Everything else was ok for her to eat, but she did not care for meat, so he brought her out a tower, and I mean a tower on a skewer of chicken nuggets on a huge plate of mac and cheese.
He made her a very special dessert and it was the best ever! Don't be scared away from 'Ohana if you have allergies or dietary restrictions, they are really great!

They will DEFINITELY accommodate you. I would recommend calling the special dietary request line.

My boyfriend and I recently went to 'Ohana and had an all vegan meal. We posted a review here: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2270539. We give instructions on who to call to tell them your allergies and such. You should read it - it may help you!

I think it depends on how sensitive your child is. My ds is airborne and contact reactive to peanuts. Despite all the good things I have heard about dinner at Ohana and Chef TJ, I didn't see a way they could make my son safe. With peanut dipping sauce at the tables around ours it would ceratinly be airborne.
