I'd love to hear from any of you that have been to 'Ohanas!
What is it like- it sounds like fun, and how would it be for kids
age 12 & 14? We've been to WDW three times and are going again this June and are looking for some new restaurants. Any other suggestions would be appreciated too.
Thanks for you help!::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

We just returned from our trip and had an excellent time at Ohana's! I'm pretty sure you need a PS to eat there because it is usually very crowded. Ohana also has an excellent view of Wishes, the fireworks show at MK. If you make a PS at around 7:30 or 8:00 and ask for a window seat, you'll have a perfect view of the castle with fireworks shooting over it. Also, they play the audio from the show throughout the restaurant. You start out with an appetizer selection of about four or five appetizers. Then, your server brings out long skewers of turkey, pork, and steak. You finish off with pineapples dipped in caramel sauce. The food was excellent! It is a very lively restaurant and has many games for children, such as the coconut race and hula hoop contest. We had a great time and I'm sure you will as well! :)

Gem85, thanks for your quick response. That's a great idea for viewing Wishes. We'll have to find out what time it starts the end of June, and plan our PS accordingly!

It is a luau that takes place at the Poly - it is really wonderful! The food was a pleasant surprise also.

hmm...it may b worth cheking out. this is a dumb ? but do u urself have to b a "resident" there, or can u no somebody whos staying there and go to it?

I just ate at Ohana's on our trip last week. We have an 8 year old and a 5 year old. The food was okay - lots of it, but much of the food cooked over the open flames was dried out. Really the best of the dinner was the shrimp so if your shrimp lovers you should like it, but otherwise food was just okay. I think your kids sound like they might be a little old to enjoy the coconut races and hula hoops. It was actually a small part of the dinner. You can do dinner at Ohana's but I think there are a lot of better restaurants around.

We found the food wonderful. DS is a steak lover and he ate is weight in the stuff. Shrimp was my favorite too but I liked it all. Games for the kids were fun and the whole place was so friendly.
Give it a try.
