O'hanas question for picky eaters

My husband and son would love to eat at O'hanas for the meat. My daughter and I would eat the mac and cheese/chicken nuggets. I know it is served family style, so would we be able to get the kids food while they get the normal food?

If you don't mind splitting up - I might recommend you making an ADR for your DH and DS and you go with DD to Captain Cooks and then hang out at the Poly until they finish. 'Ohana is pretty darn expensive to pay for just nuggets and mac and cheese at the adult price.
I agree. $55/adult seems rather much for only nuggets with mac and cheese.

But, I'm also big on the philosophy "We do NOT care. We are on vay-kay-SHUN."

Eating as a family may be more important to you than the price. If so, go to 'Ohana and enjoy, sez a woman who's paid 1900 Park Fare price for nothing more than a Mickey waffle, some bacon and coffee. Oh, and some gummy bears. :)

Sometimes, the experience with those you love is worth the price.

Yeah I see this as a sweet moment for Father/Son and Mother/Daughter special nights.

I don't think this would be a problem. That being said, the proteins served at this meal have had very mixed reviews. Most people love the salad, wings, potstickers and dessert, but I've seen many complaints about the beef, especially. I guess I would do it as long as you go in knowing that it's a dice roll. Read some TripAdvisor reviews as well. And breakfast usually gets better marks than dinner.

'Ohana's was always a must-do for our family but we've skipped it the last few times.

Honestly, I wouldn't pay $55 for the nuggets and mac n cheese. I agree with the others, split up, go somewhere that you and your daughter would enjoy and meet up later.

Put it this way, if you want to spend $264/hour to spend time together, that's up to you. (55 x 4 x 1.2 tip). If 2 people only want chicken nuggets, I'd use the savings elsewhere. You will most likely be done with dinner in an hour or less.

When we went in December they did not have chicken nuggets available so we just got mac and cheese.
