We haven't been to O'Hanas in years (maybe 5 years) and WCC we went last June for lunch and it was OK. The food was decent but it wasn't "fun".

Of the two, which one is currently an enjoyable meal over all. I'm looking for decent food but a fun atmosphere for my little ones. We'll be going for dinner this coming June.

I was planning O'Hanas, but reports on the new updated menu have been really mixed. I'm really leaning towards WCC only because DH and DS4 love the ribs.

So of the two, is one currently better than the other? Or are they both along the same lines for quality and fun?

Thanks,
Mare

We think O'hanas has more "fun" and is more enjoyable. We enjoy the laid back feeling more than the humor at WCC--- but we do love the all you can drink milkshakes.
The quality of the food is along the same lines-- but very different themeing.

We've never done Ohanas for dinner (we used to do the Character Breakfast). We dined at WCC for dinner this past September and doubt we will ever go back unless we want to try the breakfast. We found the dinner to be overrated and not very good (DH got sick on the ribs/chicken in the skillet; I didn't because I didn't eat the ribs or chicken as I couldn't stand the stuff I had eaten). We found service at WCC to be very lacking.

Therefore, I'd choose Ohanas which we plan on trying next trip.

OI WOULD GO TO OHANA, HANDS DOWN!!!!!
I have eaten at both several times. WCC has gone down hill (Sorry if I have offended anyone!) The "fun" has really declined... they use to make hats out of napkins for each guest and they were much more animated. But things have changed and they no longer "goof around" as much and the food is just "so-so" in my mind.

We loved the atmosphere at WCC but were disappointed in the food--wouldn't go back. I haven't done Ohana at dinner, but breakfast there is good.

Ohana's is one of my favorite places to eat at WDW. I would highly suggest it for anyone. In my opinion, WCC would be more fun if I had small children with me on my trip. But that won't happen for a good 7 to 10 years. So I will stick with Ohana's right now. :)

Ohana's hands down, as someone said above WCC is not nearly as fun as it used to be and the generic bbq u could get at Flame Tree bbq counter service at AK.

We've been to both, most recently in May.
Ohana is a bit "nicer" (classier, maybe?) in that we dress up a little nicer, the food is great and the atmosphere is fun. They teach you to hula, the kids sweep coconuts around the room and my husband has a crush on the singer!
WCC is more casual, the food is BBQ type stuff (Yummy), and the atmosphere is more loud and fun. The kids did stick pony races and had a blast.
We enjoy both but for different reasons. If I could only choose one it would probably be Ohana. Sorry I wasn't more helpful.

We stayed at the WL in August and ate at the WCC. I had high expectations of this place and was very disappointed.

When we arrived to be seated the hostess took us all the way to the back of the restaurant and out of the main room. It looked like a couple of chairs in the resorts lobby. I politely asked if we could be moved into the main room. The hostess in her exact words were " this is all we have and will have to do" she put the menus on the table and began to walk away. I caught up with her and asked to see the mgr and she told me he was busy. I approached another CM and was introduced to the manager. He did move us into the main dining area.

While the atmospher was a lot of fun the food was a bit to be desired. The ribs were very tough, the pulled pork was very bland, the corn over cooked, and the chicken was average.

I'm not trying to sound negative but this is one place I doubt I will ever go back to experience.
