I read opinions about Ohana's v Kona's for dinner, but we are trying to decide between the 2 for breakfast. It is me, DH, DS9, DD7, DS2. We will have had several other character meals (CM, LTT, & 1900). Kona's breakfast menu looked great. Any thoughts?

Since you have other character meals planned, I would go with Kona. The food is very good! Be sure to make an ADR. It can get crowded.

O'hana for characters - Stitch is really fun, DS will love it, especially if he has had to see a lot of princesses.

Kona for food - all I can say is ***Tonga Toast***Mmmmm

We had breakfast at Ohana last week. DS7 really enjoyed Lilo and stitch and the food was very good, especially the pineapple bread. Had a whole plate to myself :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

Have a great time on your vacation whatever you decided! :)

Kona - Tonga Toast! Can't be beat. If you are paying out of pocket it is a great value! If using the DP 'Ohana would be the best value. I would eat at Kona and pay for it before I would use a TS for 'Ohana breakfast. Just my opinion.

For the kids, Ohana's! They would really enjoy the characters from Lilo & Stitch.
However, having had breakfast at Kona's, for you, Kona's! Their breakfast is great! It sounds like you have alot of kid friendly meals planned that you deserve to pick Kona's!

Haven't done 'Ohana for breakfast, but I absolutely love Kona. I would recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat. And since you have other character meals, I'd definitely go for the food on this one.

Konas!!! I did the breakfast at O'hannas in Dec and it was OK.

I did it again in Jan with my 9 y/o GD and it was BAD. We had one of the first reservations at opening, so got there before they even opened. I asked for a window table facing MK, but got a back corner table (despite the restaraunt being empty). When I asked the hostess if we could have one of the tables for two by the window, she just said 'no' giving no reason. We were then informed Lilo was sick that day, so all we had was Mickey, Pluto, and Stitch. I told the waitress that we didn't want the Pineapple bread, but she brought it anyway. When the skillet came out it was cold (and I mean cold). It took forever to get the waitress' attention, but she finally came, apologized, took it away, then disappeared for the rest of the meal. By that time Pluto and Mickey had came around. Just before Stitch got to us, they started the kiddie parade. No problem and I got a cute picture of my GD. However when the parade was over we assumed Stitch would start where he had left off. I guess he forgot where he was because he skipped us and two other tables. We finally got another waiter's attention and he said he would send Stitch back over (which he did) and also check on our skillet which had yet to be brought back. Stitch came back just long enough for a quick picture. By then my GD and I had finished our fruit, so had nothing else to eat (besides the pineapple bread neither of us wanted). About ten minutes later I finally caught our waitress' attention and reminded her again that we still hadn't gotten anything but juice and fruit. She got flustered, said she forgot, and she'd bring our skillet right out. By this time my GD and I were both so frustrated, we said never mind, just please give us our ticket. You'd have thought they'd give us a discount since all we got was a glass of OJ and a small saucer of fruit to share (after being there for well over an hour), but no she charged us the full amount. I was furious, but my GD begged me not to cause a scene, so I didn't. I still can't believe I paid that much for a small glass of OJ and maybe three or four bites of fruit. We had to go to the MK for a quick breakfast.

We had some pretty crappy service at 'Ohana's breakfast last May. We are giving it another try in September due to the fact DH loves Stitch. That said, Kona is always a must for us.

We've done Ohana's many times (and once had an experience not as bad as above, but not great - got seated very late and the characters left halfway through the meal). The food is only OK, we go because its a character meal, not a bad one, and they bring you food (which generally - when they bring it - is an improvement over lots of little hands in a buffet).

Kona, however has real breakfast food, not something out of a trough mass produced - good eggs benedict.
