Hi :)

So we're approaching the 180 day mark for our trip in September and mum and I are looking at doing Ohana's for breakfast but we're not entirely sure what it entails food wise. We know they bring it to our table but that's about it! What type of food do they offer and does anyone have any other tips etc? I really hope you can help :) thanks!!

We are going to be doing breakfast at 'Ohana for the first time in August so it's fair to say I've done a lot of research :rotfl:

Food offerings, as far as I understand it, are all-you-can-eat but brought to your table rather than help yourself. Breakfast consists of: raisin bread and pineapple bread, fresh fruit (melon, grapes and pineapple), Mickey waffles and a skillet with bacon, sausage, breakfast potatoes, scrambled eggs and biscuits (the scone-type things the Americans love to eat for breakfast).

Characters, I believe, are Lilo and Stitch as well as Mickey, Chip and Dale.

We've eaten breakfast there a few times, its 'family' style with means they bring it out in 1 skillet, they will refill the skillet if you need more food. Its bacon, sausage, eggs, etc. Lots of characters around and they periodically have a parade around the room that the children can join in on. Its usually very busy, but its fun and you shouldn't leave there hungry.

We did it in October and enjoyed it.

You see Mickey, Lilo, Stitch and Pluto.

They bring bread and fruit, then a platter to share with bacon, scrambled eggs, bacon and potatoes and mickey waffles. They serve the mixed juice like at Tusker house.

There was also a parade for the children with instruments.

We had an adr at opening 7.30am - the cm's sing a little opening song. Before you are seated you get a lei and a picture taken. Ask to use your own camera. During the meal they ask if you wish to buy the photo (we didn't)

Do spend some time looking around the resort and beach if you get chance.

Wow, sounds like a good restaurant :goodvibes We've just decided to book Ohana for breakfast on our trip as well, and we're close to our 180 day mark. Guess we'll have to phone to get our 12 digit reservation number so we're ready.

We ate there in 2010. Shouldn't really comment as we don't really eat breakfast, we found it a bit of a letdown, never got to see Mickey, you are in and out so fast they don't have time to get around. Its not just here I don't find any of the breakfasts worth the money (or DDP credit) in Disney. Trying Tusker house this year but only for our God daughter, I will no doubt eat next to nothing and complain again:rotfl2:

This was our morning there.

Ahh, those pictures bring back memories! We did a breakfast there last year and the children loved it and ate plenty - the skillet was refilled promptly and without limit.

Unlike Wayne we are very much a breakfast family and usually eat a big breakfast and then little else until the evening. We left feeling full and the children enjoyed the characters and the musical parade. We spent some time on the beach afterwards and really wished we could have used the pool too!

We are trying 'Ohana for breakfast for the first time in May

I've read lots of reviews and they are mainly positive :goodvibes

As long as they have Mickey Waffles I'll be happy :cool1:

We did Ohana for breakfast in 2009 and it was brilliant. It was our last day and we had a long morning since we weren't doing a park. We were there ages and saw all the characters.

They all came round twice and pluto put on a little show for us (fell over the tables, starting using a high chair as a walking stick, wagging his finger at the fallen chairs as if it was their fault, very funny)

The service was brilliant, the skillet was never empty and we ate loads! The server came out and personally thanked me saying I'd made her day as I gave her all our left over change as a tip since it was our last day :D A lovely end to our holiday :D

We have done it 4 times and going for the 5th this August. Our DD6 loves it as well as myself. The food is good, coffee is better than most Disney restaurants. We never felt rushed with the characters or by the staff, they even went out of their to get Mickey to come back to our table because my DD and I were in the bathroom. The atmosphere is great, good food & very fun time, especially with the parade around the restaurant. :thumbsup2

Great pics :thumbsup2 Don't know why I thought it was Chip and Dale there - DS will be stoked to know that Pluto is there though :)

we were there on feb. 27th
we had an amazing time, and the food was great. Basic breakfast with bacon, eggs, sausage, and potato wedges. Great juice too, and don't forget the mickey waffles.
The characters were great. We had to wait for pluto as we had finished and he hadn't come to us yet, but our waitress told us there was no rush and we were free to stay until he came. I would imagine that guest would be rushed a little more during peak season.
But as a result we had stitch and lilo come twice at our table

it was well worth every penny

we ended up with a $80 check (incl tax and tip) for 2 adults and 1 kid (over 3)

we had a 8:15 reservation and came up early (like 8:00) and the restaurant was far from being crowded, even though when we left every table had guests.

sry no pics for now, we're still in WDW and DW would probably kill me if she found out I browsed DIS while on vacations :)

Glad you enjoyed it and felt it worth the money.

Last time I bought breakfast in Florida I think it cost $16 for 3 of us, most I ever paid was a steak breakfast at Cracker Barrel, IIRC that came to $32 or $36 for 3 of us. Ohana would be $90-100 for us depending on tip(3 adults)

We were there last October and our boys loved it :)
We have a 15 yr old,a 6 and 2 year old and all enjoyed it.16 year old enjoyed the food more lol

Great,relaxed and we will be re-visiting. :-)
