Hi everybody!!

Last year my family and I went to the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show, the food was a little too much for me how they just get bringing the food over and over again. I was just wondering is Ohana alot like the Spirit of Oloha Dinner show?? We did like the food last time I was just wondering if this is a restauraunt worth trying!!

Thaks!!!!:):)

My family and I LOVE Ohana! It is a must do for each trip! They bring out the different courses at seperate times! Again for us it's a not miss!

'Ohana is nothing like the dinner show. For starters, there's no show LOL.

Check it out, we enjoyed it :-)

Agree that these two experiences are nothing like each other except for being located at the Poly. The food is totally different, and the only real show is at the luau. There are some antics going on at 'Ohana like hula hoop and coconut races, but not a real show.

Actually, there is more food at 'Ohana than there is at the SoA show.
The last time we ate at 'Ohana, it was early and they weren't as crowded as it is later on in the evening. They pretty much brought all our food at once, and we felt rushed. We took our time, but asked our waiter to bring us some hot fresh food when we were ready to eat it. He realized it all got piled on and brought out fresh/hot plates and was very accomodating from then on.

It is a lot of food~ we love 'Ohana though, it's a family tradition for us when we can get an ADR and love it every time we go.

Not quite understanding what your question is. At Ohana, the appetizers and side dishes are brought to your table 'family style', as is the dessert at the end. The wait staff will bring you more of any of the items at any time through the meal.

The entrees are grilled steak, pork, shrimp, and turkey(or chicken). Wait staff constantly circulate with big skewers of chunks of grilled meat, each stopping at each table to see if you would like some. The trick is to only take 1-2 pieces of each on the first pass to see what you like (oh, and they put 3 different dipping sauces on your table; mix and match to see what you like). Then concentrate on your favorite(s). There is periodic participatory entertainment for kids. If you are there during Wishes, they dim the lights and pipe in the music - magical.

TONS more food at Ohanas. Our family was completely stuffed. Tons of meat. The sides were just okay, I wish they had more/different sides.

I really, really like 'Ohana and can't wait to go back and for my hubby to try it for the first time! With that said, it is A LOT of food. They bring the sides out family style like previous posters have said (I actually like that more than the meat). However, when you have had your share of meat, just tell them you don't want anymore. You kind of get to moderate whether you want more sides brought out, more meat put on your plate, etc.

I definitely think its worth trying. The bread pudding is WONDERFUL!
