Is Ohana better for breakfast rather than lunch & dinner? I'm kinda getting that feeling from what I'm reading!
Also, what meal is best at Boma, breakfast, lunch or din?
:thanks:

I actually think of Ohana as more popular for dinner than breakfast (they don't serve lunch). I've never eaten breakfast, but dinner there is one of my favorites.

Boma is also only open for breakfast and dinner. The breakfast is a fairly traditional american-style buffett (eggs, waffles, french toast) with a few more african style dishes. Dinner is excellent. It has prime rib, salmon, chicken, a fabulous selection of soups and salads. At Boma, I'd prefer dinner to breakfast.

I would say dinner, as most breakfasts are pretty much the same with only a variant here and there.
As for Boma, haven't eaten there yet but plan to on this upcoming trip! Hope it is as good as everyone says it is.

We had breakfast there last year and enjoyed it. I would do breakfast again in the future. We have dinner planned for our trip in December and I am really looking forward to it. Most people have said good things about O'hana for dinner and a lot of people say the bread pudding for dessert is to die for! You'll have bad reviews for all the restaurants. Everyone has different tastes.

Dinner at 'Ohana is great!

The bread pudding dessert is the best dessert at WDW!!!:banana::banana:

It's becoming very popular, so even thought it is a really big restaurant, it's actually hard to book a dinner there sometimes. (We've had to switch dates just to get an ADR there).

There are so many things to choose from!
:)

We are going to Ohana on our last night a party of 9 any suggestions thanks

It's all served family-style, so they bring everything to your table. You dish it out and share it, and you can always ask for more of anything (important to remember when they bring out the bread pudding with vanilla ice cream and bananas foster sauce ;)).

You don't need to order anything or choose any dishes, so I don't really have any advice. Just be willing to try all the dishes -- they were all very good! But remember to leave room for the dessert! (and I'm not even a dessert person).

There are lots of large parties like yours there. There are also fun activities for the kids (or the kids-at-heart) like hula dancing and coconut broom racing. 'Ohana is a great place for a last night dinner.

Thanks everyone!!! Sounds like we will go there for dinner then....and I love bread pudding!!!

Just wanted to share my experience with O'hana. We had an ADR there for dinner, it was packed with many people waiting. We sat down, had a cocktail at the table, was served salad and chicken when wouldn't you know it my daughter fell ill and we had to leave immediately. Even though we had started eating and drinking already, the lovely CM's did not charge us for anything or did they deduct our dining credit. I would rebook here in a heartbeat, such lovely people.

Ohana dinner was my favorite dining experience with Disney with Blue Bayou at DL being second. The food was amazing, the atomosphere very relaxing and watching the fireworks from the window while eating dessert priceless!

For Ohana I would definetly say Dinner is better.

But for Boma, both are absolutly wonderful. Dinner is my favorite there because of the variety and they have ZEBRA DOMES :love:

Favorite of the two restaurants? Boma hands down.

We love dinner at Boma and make sure we go there once per trip. It's really different (in a good way) than any other WDW buffet!:goodvibes

It REALLY is that good!!! Ohana is our family must do that we all agree on:thumbsup2

Aw poor baby! I can sympathize. My DD7 got sick during dinner and our server brought her chicken nuggets and fries, she didn't touch them at all, so she tried bringing her plain ice cream, nope. She crawled in my lap and slept the rest of the meal:angel: She only woke up to ask me if the castle was still blueprincess: (it was during wishes). Needless to say, they didn't charge us for anything for her that night:goodvibes

My husband really likes Ohana for dinner- he's a big fan of unlimited meat. :)

But, our favorite is Boma for breakfast! Yes, it has the same offerings as most other Disney breakfast buffets, but it also has a lot of different choices as well. They have a really good pastry bar, breakfast ham and cured pork loin. It's also really cheap compared to other Disney breakfasts- it's only $16.99/person. And you can't beat the setting- Animal Kingdom Lodge is beautiful!
We've been there for dinner as well, but we're not really adventurous enough eaters to be super excited about that.

Just got back and we ate Breakfast here for the first time...I think they put crack in the eggs! I couldn't get enough of them! ;) We will definitely be trying Dinner when we go back next year!

Coming from a non-bread pudding eater.......OMG love the one from O'hana. I still haven't been able get an ADR for my December trip but I wish I could get that bread pudding somewhere!

Never been to o'hana for breakfast or lunch however dinner was amazing. We had our wedding rehursal dinner there! It could not have been better!! There was soooo much food and the food was soooo good. They even made me a special meal becuase I am a vegetarian!
Here are some pics to wet your appetite!
