Last time we went to dinner we decided it would be great to make an ADR for dinner while Wishes is going off. Wishes will be running at 8pm during our trip. What time should I make the adr for? Is 7pm okay? Also can you see the fireworks no matter where you are seated?

Thanks!

good question about the timing...I don't have the answer to that but look forward to hearing what others have to say. When we were seated there during our last visit we were in a corner more towards the bar area...there was no way we were getting a view from there so it all depends on where you are going to be seated I think.

we made our ADR for monday sept 13th for 830 with wishes going at 9....so hopefully we get a good spot...First time at ohana, we are excited!

I don't think you can see the fireworks from everywhere. You could make your dinner for a little earlier and then go out to the beach to watch the fireworks. They look great from there.

You cannot see the fireworks from all of the restaurant. You may or may not get a seat close to the windows, so if seeing the show is important I would either, eat in plenty of time to head back to MK or get done and head down to the Poly beach to watch them.

Ohana can be slower as the evening goes, so make sure to give yourself ample time.

You cant see the fireworks from the restaurant. You have to make about a 5 minute walk over the the beach area. Depending on your party size, the meal could take about 1 1/2 - 2 hours or more. (we were party of 11 and it was over 2 hours with drinks, conversation etc.. when we went with just my immediate famiy, it was about 1 1/2 hours). I think 5:30- 6:30 ressies would be good. Keep in mind even if you have a ressie, it could take up to 1/2 hour to be seated.

It amazes me, reading these boards, how many people intend to go and how many people actually go! After the large all you care to eat meal, most just call it a day after eating!

I would make it for at least 45 min to an hour before. Last year our reservation was 30 minutes before wishes, but they were running late and we were only seated 50 minutes after our reservation time and we missed wishes alltogether.

I wouldn't take the chance and would book about an hour before wishes is scheduled.

I just read that they (MNSSHP) fireworks are at 930. We have ohana ressies for 530 and wanted to watch from Poly beach. If dinner takes 1 1/2 hr, what can we do for the extra time?

We had an 8PM reservation and were seated at a window seat with a view of the castle. We were able to see the water parade. Just as we were getting ready to leave, the waitress (she was wonderful) invited us to stay and watch the fireworks. Dont quote me, because I had a Pina Colada, but I believe she said they pipe the Wishes music in too. We tried to stay, but the fireworks were delayed and my children had enough. :upsidedown So we left, as we were heading back to our room there people everywhere. On the beach, in the pool, the docks and pathways waiting for the firework to start. If you can get a window seat, I don't think they would ask you to leave. But like others have already mentioned there are no guarantees.

We got a 7:10 for March 5 when Wishes is at 8 and an 8:15 on the 7th when it's at 9. I was leery of the 9 pm one because in years past it was always at 8 during that week, I'm concerned that they'll change this so I nailed 2 ressies just in case. BTW, we never sat right at the window but always had an acceptable view.
