Which should I choose we have a ressie for Kona on our BB day but I was wondering which has the best food? (aside from the Tonga toast which I know people will say is good, but I know we won't all order it ;) )

Well, Ohanas is a character breakfast with Lilo and Stitch (and Pluto and Mickey too) and Kona is just a regular menu breakfast. We've eaten at Kona and the food really was good, and everything I've read about Ohanas for breakfast is very positive as well. Ohanas is probably twice the price as it is a character meal, but, again, it all depends on what you want to get out of it. As to which one to choose, I can't help you there - we opted for both for breakfast for our upcoming trip. :goodvibes I really don't think you can go wrong with either.

this has nothing to do with this thread, but crystal.. I just have to tell you your daughter is gorgeous! wow! such a cutie! :)

Thanks Crystal...I guess I'll keep Kona since it's a 2-adr day for us...keep costs down!

I've never been to Ohana's for breakfast but definetly have been to Kona for breakfast and the food there is excellent. I've had the tonga toast, big kahuna and pineapple macadamia nut pancakes...all great! It's not a character meal, but the atmoshpere there is very nice.

I would say Kona because of the fantastic breakfast choices and the killer pressed pot coffee. Also Ohana is a very loud chaotic atmosphere and I usually cannot take that too early in the am...at least not before a lot of coffee! :surfweb:

Sorry to re-hijack this thread, but I just wanted to thank you very much for your compliment about my DD, Luna! She's so much fun too! :goodvibes :goodvibes

Ah...yes...the pressed pot coffee, How could I have forgotten about that? lol It's terrific! Thanks for reminding me...

Having not had breakfast at Kona (only dinner, LOVED dinner!) I would think if you're not going for the characters, then skip Ohanas. While the food was ok, it was nothing to rave about, we went on our last day mainly for the characters. The characters were alot of fun though!

I've had breakfast at both places and Kona lost my support.
Our server was awful, she let our drinks run dry and never stopped at the table to ask how the food was. I also wasn't impressed with the food because I didn't get the variety like I do at 'Ohana's. I ordered one breakfast item off the menu at Kona because that's all I would be able to eat anyway, but at 'Ohana's I get a variety of food like eggs, bacon, mickey waffles, fruit, and biscuits among other things. I also prefer 'Ohana's view/atmosphere, and maybe I like 'Ohana's more because I am definitely a character meal person.
