I am staying at the Boardwalk the night before a Disney Cruise and figure a character breakfast may be a good way to start the festivities. Most restaurants are full but there's availability at Cape May and Ohana's at teh Polynesian. Cape May is closer but wanted to see what people's experiences have been.
I am bringing my two nieces (8 and 9) - don't think they really have a preference.

Appreciate any feedback!

I go to Cape May every trip - they have a more laid back enviroment not really loud. They have a large variety of breakfast foods and the character interaction is really great. I have some of my best photos from that restaurant.

Have a great time whichever you decide!

Having done both I would go with Cape May. Ohanas is good but we had the longest wait of our trip there & every time we are at Poly for breakfast people seem to waiting for Ohana. And the food was fine. Cape May is fun, little more relaxing & the food is way better. But I must add that Stitch was a blast. And with being at the BW it will so much eaiser.

cape may for sure, and ask for dorothy to be your server, i hate to admit it but I have gone down there the last 3 years just for that breakfast, haha.

Cape May, the food is awesome, the characters are so fun...we are going there Friday and Sunday...I will be sure to post pics

Thanks for the help. As I always trust my DIS friends - cape may it is!

We are trying Cape May for the first time this year for breakfast (we have done the dinner). We have not done Ohanas since it was Minnie's Menehue Breakfast and it was a buffet (probably the only reason is we are not big Stitch fans). I would say Cape May because the girls will see Minnie, Goofy and Chip and Dale.

I would probably choose Cape May. It is a good breakfast and it is close by and easier to get to.

We've done both and I'd definitely pick Cape May. The food selection is much better since it is buffet. At Ohana, the choices are limited to the typical eggs, bacon, sausage etc since it is served family style.

I would do Cape May - we just did it in January and the food was yummy and the character interaction was great they came to our table twice. I had originally made the ressy for Ohana but decided that everyone who was going would benefit better from the Buffet over family style. We got really cute pics at Cape May too!!

I am so glad to hear great things about Cape May. We will definitely be dining here at least once on our next trip. Especially since we'll be right there at the BC. I haven' been to this one in a long time. I remember it being one of the highlights, though.
