Hi Dis friends! I know it has been asked before, but I would like to know what everyone thinks of Ohana for dinner or breakfast. We did Spirit of Aloha last time & loved it. The menu for dinner @ Ohana looks fun & since it's a classic & we have never tried it, we want to. The Poly is one of my favorite Resorts so I might go more than once this time for meals. Does anyone suggest any of the other Poly restaurants? I go for theme & my husband goes for food. So...if this makes sense help! ~Thanx!pirate:

We would definitely suggest you try Kona Cafe for dinner as well. We eat there every trip and we love it. It is definitely more food than atomosphere though.

Yep... definitely Kona! That was my husband's absolute favorite meal last time (he still drools over that tuna oscar!!)

We enjoy Ohana on every trip. OUr last trip we ate breakfast and dinner. WE love the breakfast (it is a character). It is served family style. eggs, sausage, patotoes, mickey waffles. The juice is very good. I would like to bottle it and bring some home. The dinner is good, on our last trip I thought the meat was a little fatty and dry. The salad and the sides are very good. I could just eat the wings and the potstickers. HOpe this helps a little. Everyone has a different taste palate, but for us we enjoy it.

Hi there!

We enjoy eating at 'Ohana, and we usually schedule it for our arrival night dinner. It's a nice way to relax and unwind after a hectic day of traveling. We also like to arrive early and enjoy some time shopping in the Boutiki, and they have a bar with comfy seats right near the entrance to 'Ohana.

Just a head's up, be sure to arrive at least 15 minutes before your reservation time for dinner. Many times we've arrived and the line to check in has been very long!

Enjoy your upcoming trip! :woohoo:

I did not like 'Ohana for breakfast as the food was not very good. The characters and atmosphere were fun though and children would enjoy it a lot.

I did enjoy the food at 'Ohana dinner, for the most part. I'd much rather go back for dinner than breakfast.

Kona is pretty good and much easier to get in to than 'Ohana.

We love Ohana for both breakfast and dinner :goodvibes. It's been awhile since we've eaten at Kona, but we've had a few great meals there as well :). I think they are both great and don't think you can go wrong with either of them ;).

I totally agree with this.

We generally make two ADR's for 'Ohana. One for breakfast and one for dinner. I'm normally not much of a breakfast person but I totally love the breakfast here. The food has always been fresh and hot. The fruit is wonderful and the juice.. I wish I could bottle it and take it home with me. :thumbsup2 Plus I love seeing Mickey in his Hawaiian shirt. And Pluto, Stitch and Lilo are a lot of fun.

'Ohana for dinner has pretty much become our "welcome to Disney" dinner these past couple years. Just a really nice way to start the magic. And Kona is a big hit in our family for breakfast. While I'm more than happy with the fruit plate, my husband loves either the Tonga Toast or the Big Kahuna breakfast. And my son is determined to try the Samoan when he can. :thumbsup2

DH & I were helping my sister & BIL plan their WDW trip last Saturday. They are staying at Poly. DH & I both agreed that the O'hana character breakfast was our best breakfast of the week. I think Sis has decided to do this to get 4 character autographs while sitting down to eat instead of standing in line in the parks.

Yay really, standing in line, ugh no thanx.

Once you get through the check-in process at O'Hana :upsidedow it is a very nice relaxing dinner experience with a Hawaiian flare and some fun for kids but not overbearing for adults. Dinner is stretched out and relaxed; it takes a couple hours so it is great to be with a group of people. I prefer to fill up on the plentiful salad, bread and side dishes to the skewered meats (as I find them usually dry). Dessert is also included.

I've never done O'Hana for breakfast and probably wouldn't with the characters.

Kona is strictly for food, and it is quite good for all meals.
