We are thinking of doing this character meal this year and were wondering if the kids get waffles or pancakes? We have some picky eaters!
Thanks

The kids get everything the adults get. It is brought out family style and they will refill everything you eat. Scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, bacon, potatoes, mickey waffles, pork sausage, and warm breads. I have three picky daughters and they all found something there to eat!!!

Great, thanks! We are really looking forward to trying this! (I'm really looking forward to not having to get up to help 4 kids with a buffet!)

Do you think it's better to make ADR's for before the park opens or maybe do a late ADR and do lunch/brunch?? I thought we could take the monorail from MK or Epcot.

I've only gone to character breakfasts before park opening because once my kids start on rides there's no turning back!

It depends on what time the parks open. Normally I would suggest eat before hitting the parks. However, if it is when the parks open at 7AM (like Christmas week) and you are looking at a big meal (like as a brunch), I would suggest hit the parks at 7 AM EMH and book the last possible breakfast ADR that the characters will still be there. If it is 10 AM those nearly 3 houre would allow you plenty of time to get so much done. Since it is a monorail resort and not a peak traveling time to resorts it should take you very little time to get there (but always leave enought time just in case). You can also take the boat...the docks are right at the front enterance of the MK. O'Hanas was such a fun breakfast!:thumbsup2

The Mickey Waffles are good at Ohanas and even Adults
get them. The Waffles taste like they are the real Belgian
type made with Yeast (not the basic type with baking powder).
LOve Ohanas Best Friends Breakfast--the characters are great
and the food is good to.

We ate here in February and loved it. Plenty of waffles, there wasn't enough fruit or welcome bread for us though. The hot meal was family style and we could have refills of that but it wasn't really our kind of potato so we only ordered more bacon.

We had 7.30am reservations for a day when the MK opened at 9am. We left the Poly and headed over on the monorial for opening.

We have eaten at O'Hana for breakfast every single time we have been at Walt Disney World. We just love it. Now that Lilo & Stitch are there it is a must because my DD14 just loves Stitch. Luckily the food is good too.
