Ohana solo how to get an ADR

Oops the time to make my ADR's is here and it's the first time I'll be solo. I know a while back someone had a lot of trouble getting a table but I can't remember what the outcome was. Should I try to book for 2 people and then call and cancel one or does anyone know if it's easier now?

I've dined solo at 'Ohana a couple times, but I have never found a reservation for one available. So yes, make the reservation for two, then before your trip and let them know that you will be there as a single. Some reservations CMs know how to modify a reservation and some don't, but any can make an annotation on the reservation even if it still appears on the record as a party of two.

Either way, remember that as long as you show up, the cancellation penalty will not apply, so if you can't get it changed, don't worry.

I thought that the new credit card policy meant that the no-show charges were PER PERSON, not per table. So if you don't change the ADR in advance, you would be charged for one no-show.

The guarantee is per person, but it only applies if the party is a complete no-show. This was one of the open questions for quite a while, but they've answered the question explicitly right on the WDW Dining web site in one of the FAQs.

I am going solo and I had to make a ressie for 2. It does state on the WDW website as long as the reservation is honored (one person shows up), you will not be charged the $10 pp no show fee.

I have a dinner reservation for 10 Guests at a restaurant that uses the credit card guarantee policy. Only 8 Guests are able to make it to dinner. Will I still be charged $10 each for the 2 Guests who were unable to attend?

No. As long as you honor the reservation, then there will be no charge to your credit card.

Once they put it in writing on their official site, they would have a tough time trying to hold anyone to a stricter policy.
