Ohana Review

My husband and I just returned from a quick three night trip to WDW. Our meals were mostly counter service at the parks but one night we did make a PS at Ohana and it was our very first visit there. We were very pleased with the overall experience. Our table was along the window facing Magic Kingdom. We had a spectacular view of the castle changing colors and even got to watch the water pagent go by. Just wonderful!! The food was exceptional and the experience was a lot of fun! We thought the value was well worth the experience! We will be back with family soon!

Glad that you liked Ohana. We did too! Actually I made the p.s. more for the rest of the family since I knew they would like the food choices where I normally don't care too much for Polynesian/Oriental food but I was so wrong! I loved it too. I wasn't as much into the rice and sauces but I sure did like the wonton appetizers and the shrimp, the pork, the beef...and the pineapple dipped in caramel. Plus I love the atmosphere at the Poly. We haven't gotten to stay there yet but we always visit and I always really FEEL like I'm on vacation when there.

Trampslady, we finally got to 'Ohana (and this, mind you, is after 23 years of going to WDW since we were married, and living in the area) - and it exceeded all my expectations. The six of us gorged ourselves, and my DD, who is not much of a meat eater, probably ate a pound or better of the beef. We just sort of waddled out.

I thought the peanut sauce was intriguing, and sure worked well for the steak. And the turkey dipped in the fruit sauce was unexpectedly good.

Heck, I like everything.
