My DH and 2 DS (age 2) had dinner at Ohana on 12/16/2009. We were seated promptly near a window at an extra large table. The theming was wonderful, we were near the fire pit and that made for a more authentic polynesian atmosphere. Our server was very nice. We enjoyed the appetizers - pork dumplings and chicken wings immensely. We only ate a few bites of the salad, broccoli, and lo mein as we didn't want to fill up on these sides which were fairly basic. Our kids liked the chicken wings and the bread. I thought the bread was ok. The food came out a little too fast and the waiter was obliging when we asked that the courses slow down. We were offered the skewers of pork and turkey first, then steak, and finally shrimp. The meats, pork, turkey and steak were very dry and overcooked for our taste. The sauces, while they were tasty couldn't cover the hard texture of the meats. The shrimp was worth the wait for me - I liked it but DH thought it was just ok. There was a fun interlude where an entertainer came out and sang and invited all the kids to parade around the room and learn the hula which we participated in and had fun; we were given leis at the end and have a nice keepsake from that. Overall, I'm not sure we'd return for the food. We were disappointed in the skewered meats but I really could have made a meal of the wings and dumplings so for a dining plan choice and something different to try I'd still recommend it.
