Just bumpin' this to the top, wanted to see if anyone else had heard anything...

Thanks as always

Jenn- thanks for posting that

we just had dinner at O'Hana's last Wed 10/6 - I didnt notice the firepit not working - seemed to be working to me - Im sure DH would have commented if not - and yes we ate in the main dining room

Hey hookedondizney...

My DH and I will be there on 10/25, too (if I ever decide to call for a PS, LOL). Happy early Anniversary...how many years?

for dinner before the halloween Party. It was working fine. I did notice this time that the meats that I had seemed a little charred on the outside, I wound up trimming each bite. DD's didn't seem to eat as much of the meat as they had in the past either. DH became sick halfway through the meal and left for the room. Our server was sooooooooo sweet! It had been notede that he was celebrating a birthday. I had begged them not to make a fuss about it, he hate that stuff. ANyway, the girl comes up and says " where did he go, I was getting his cupcake ready for him!" I explained about the nausea and our fast approaching party, she packed both his cupcake and our pineapple and caramel sauce up in to go boxes fo me to take back to the room. We enjoyed the pineapple after the party and he had his cupcake for breakfast. Disney service, can't beat it!::yes::

We have PS for 6:30p. DH and I will be wearing matching Hawaiian dress(me) shirt (DH). Blue with white flowers. I am sure you can't miss us!!!!I would not usually do something like this but I figured it will be our 7 yr anniversary and you know what happens at the 7 yr mark?????? or maybe that has always been superstition(sp?)

We ate at Ohana's on Monday night. The pit was definitely up and running--I can post a picture of it tomorrow after I pick up my film. I think it must have only been down for the one night skiwee was there--and apparently the one night the bartender wasn't, lol.

There was another thing though: no turkey, only an italian-sausage type thing in it's place. (apparently it was a supply problem with the turkey and it was going to be back ASAP) The sausage tasted OK, but we like the turkey much better.

Babyjosie98- We will be at Ohana's on the 21st too! We're going there before the Wishes cruise. We leave tomorrow. I can't wait! I hope its all up and running.

I ate there last month, and the pit was working. I just wanted to add that the food there this time was better than ever! The shrimp were to die for! We kept asking for more. Everything was so fresh. What a way to start your vacation, eating at Ohana and looking at that beautiful castle. Doesn't get much better than that!

Don't know if you will get this cause it looks like you leave today!

Our PS is for 7:50 on the 21st. I love OHANA!! My favorite place to eat in the WORLD!;)

This in not a Disney trip, but we are managing to eat at Ohana and
watch Wishes.

This is a last minute trip to SeaWorld and 3 days at Indian Rocks Beach!!
:sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

We got a great deal on Priceline for one night at the Radisson Worldgate hotel.....:hyper:

Have a great trip!

Don't worry about that 7 yr thing... we just passed 11 yrs in June. And we have a 5:30 PS at Ohana's, I'll watch for you and your DH. Have a great vacation!

We ate at Ohana's for the first time on 10/13. Food was delicious and it was definitely fired! Our only problem was that they didn't have our priority seating and of course, this is the only time ever I didn't have the number with me. The hostess was not very helpful, and I found out later they can access that number by our phone numbers. We waited 40 minutes until our buzzer buzzed and then we went to be seated and they had pushed our button on accident! I was not a happy camper! After another 15 minutes, we finally were seated. The dinner was wonderful and we will definitely be back. BTW, my reservation was under a last name with N instead of M. I will never forget my number again!

We were there on 10/12 and the pit was up and running. Everything tasted wonderful! They did have the sausage though, not turkey. The pork was amazing! Have a great time to all that are going soon. It must have been some minor maintenance problem that was fixed quickly. It was one of our favorite meals!

So it sounds like the sausage was there Monday and Tuesday of last week--was it back by Thursday?

Anyone--anyone?

How funny is it that we can probably find someone here on the DIS who ate at Ohana's on any given night? LOL!!

We ate there on Oct. 14 and the fire pit was humming!!! Everything was fabulous. The steak was cooked just right, the pork was amazing and the shrimp delicious. The only minor complaint was the sausage in place of the turkey. They said they were experimenting to see if people liked it.

Thanks - we will be there Tuesday for DD's birthday and I was reading the beginning of this thread in a panic.

We ate there for dinner on Thursday the 14th. Had the sausage not the turkey. I'd rate the meats as follows:
1. Steak
2. Pork
3. Sausage
4. Shrimp (a tad dry)

We were the first ones waiting in line when they opened at 5 (didn't have a PS and was unable to get one until 9:40 pm that night) and we were seated almost immediately at a table by the windows!

we were there 10/15 for dinner and the pit was up and running just fine! No sausage for us either. :)

Just an update!! We at at Ohana on Thursday night and it was wonderful...except the pineapple was not ripe at all...good thing we had the carmel sauce to dip it in.

The shrimp and steak were very tasty!!!!!:p

we thought the food was not very good. All the appetizers came out cold, and all the meats tasted the same and were overcooked. We were very dissapointed.:(
