'Ohana past 180 days

We are only 110ish days out and just booked, so 'Ohana of course is completely wiped out for dinner :-( Has anyone had success getting an ADR for dinner there closer to their date after they were sold out? Is there some awesome trick you could share with me? (There was a 9:25p available but with a 2 year old and 2 grandparents thats not happening)

I signed up for the free Touring Plans reservation finder and got my 5:30pm ‘Ohana dinner that way. It also helped me snag a BOG dinner.

I used Touring Plans as well and was able to snag a 7 PM Sunday night reservation for Ohana.

You could also use the cancellation thread on this board. I got a BOG dinner reservation about 25 days in advance this way.

There was a 5:00 dinner ADR available this morning when I was checking for various restaurants for June 30. If you keep checking enough you will eventually find something. It might not be the exact time or day you hoped for but something will pop up.

Absolutely! We never make plans that early - always get our ressies close to our usual early dining times - just have to be consistent in checking!! No awesome trick to it!

I agree with PPs, use the TP reservation finder, although you have to log in a get it as soon as you get the notification. I use my iPhone to be able to get it the very second it becomes available. You should also check out the Cancelled ADR thread for your dates on the Dis. I've gotten many hard to get ADRs doing it this way.

I used the touring plans adr finder and was able to get an ohana reservation at 4:15 about two weeks before our trip. I also used the cancellation board and was able to get a bog dinner from there too.

Do nothing now. Wait until 30 days before your trip, and re-check for a few consecutive days. If that doesn't yield an ADR, the week of your trip you should be able to pick up a day-of or next-day or two-days-from-now ADR.

Never had a problem eventually getting a suitable time open up for places like Ohana or BOG (but we usually travel at the end of Summer), as long as we are flexible. They become more available as your trip gets closer and people start firming up their plans and cancelling ADR's.
