Which would you do with kids? What time should I make PS's to make it either back to the Poly from WL or out to the beach for EWP and MK Fireworks? Thanks!

O'hana's is one of our favorite places to eat at WDW. My 2 older kids (7&4) love to eat there, but I can tell you it's more for the games than the food. Luckily they always bring my 4yr old a bowl of mac and cheese. I prefer the food at O'hanas over WCC. We enjoy WCC too. We usually do that for lunch. I believe the EWP is always around 9:30, but the fireworks at the MK depend on the time of year you are going. Whenever we have had dinner at O'hana's (4x's) we have always had at least 10 in our party and I know it takes at least an hour to enjoy your dinner. We usually take longer because of our party size.

We have been to both and thoroughly enjoyed them both. The Whispering Canyon had fun games and the interaction with the servers is really fun. Like one would get up on a chair and say,"Can I have your attention for a moment......when it got quiet he said, " thank you." and got down. They announce to the whole room, " Tommy here isn't eating his vegetables!" It was very funny and festive. We loved the food, all you can eat ribs, cole slaw, BBQ beef, corn on the cob, baked beans and tons more. The Wilderness Lodge is a sight to see in itself. This one might be better for younger kids.

Now for Ohana. We totally loved this place and plan to go back on our next visit. The food was awesome(although we are easily pleased and not gormets) huge shrimp, huge chunks of beef, turkey and pork i think. The room was fun too with the grill in the middle and the huge skillets and skewers full of meat they bring to your table. We got a table by the lagoon and had a beautiful view. The say get a table an hour for fireworks to see them at MK. Be sure to wait for a table in the main dining room. They had roving minstrels playing guitar, but only only one game while we were in there. It was a hula hoop contest. My kids were 14, 11, 9 so only the youngest played anything. I think older kids would enjoy Ohana more.

You'll love either one.... or do both!!

Without a doubt..'Ohana!!!

It has fun activities for the kids, but is not loud, and the servers aren't up in your face. We felt as though we were being corralled at Whispering Canyon... and the food wasn't very good, either. We prefer a bit of sanity while we eat. You will find it at 'Ohana!

We ate at O'Hana's on Feb 19. We found the games to be fun for our 7 yo but the 10 yo was a bit under the weather so did not participate. The appetizers were very good as were our drinks. However the entrees left a lot to be desired. I had read many people complain that the beef and pork were dry and we found this to be very true. We also did not like having to peel the shrimp - tough that was better tasting than the other meats.

We had a view of the fireworks from our table which was very nice. Overall I would say that we are glad we did this once but will not be back. Kudos to our server who called our dd's princesses. Much to our surprise he also did not charge us for the 10yo meal as she ate absolutely nothing. We did not ask or mention anything to the server. He did this on hos own. Very much appreciated.

Ate at Whispering Canyon 3years ago and loved the food and the antics of the waiters.
