I haven't been to either, looking to go for dinner. Opinions will help!:)
Thanks!

This was our dilemma, too. We have been to both, although not either one for a while now. Originally, I booked 'Ohana, but then I kept thinking about some of our not so great experiences there. We loved 'Ohana long ago when the menu was a bit different. We have tried it since the change (although not the noodle change) and were not all that pleased with it. However, we thought we might try once more. But, we are going over the July 4th holiday which means the surcharge will be in place. In the end, we switched to Kona because we have never had a bad meal there, and if 'Ohana disappointed then I'd be really upset for having spent that much money.

we were able to book dinner for both for our upcoming stay at the Poly; but if I could only choose 1 for dinner it would probably be Kona.

I have eaten at both and hands down I would pick Ohana, it's a great atmosphere, a lot of fun, and great food!

We love Ohana's for breakfast and Kona's hands down for dinner!!!!

Hands down Kona!!!! I'm heading down next month solo and think I might see if I can order from Kona and then just pick it up and bring it back to my hotel!

Ohana for sure. The food and atmosphere are wonderful and the dessert is pure heaven!

I've been to both. We like Kona Cafe` better. `Ohana is good, I just like Kona better. You can pick out what you want, it's more quiet, the food is better, and the bread and butter is to die for!!!!!!!!! Kona is a must for us now. Been there the past 2 trips and going again this year.

For dinner I would have to say Kona. The breakfast at 'Ohana is nice if you can get a MK view, watching the sun come up over the park is amazing. To be completely honest I would say do lunch at Kona and neither for dinner. If you want to be on the monorail line for dinner I think The Wave is the best but of the two Kona I think is the better dinner.

What time does Kona breakfast end? We are hoping to eat there on our arrival day!

Both are good. Hard choice. It really depends on what you feel like eating.

Kona for sure. If you like steak, they have a fantastic ribeye that is very large.

we love Kona for breakfast- not a big fan of dinner. O'hana is a lot of fun food is decent.

I have only ate at O'hana's and it was great. Atmostphere was fun, pineapple coconut bread and chicken wings are awesome.

We ate at Ohana's ( which means family ). Great for a family. I have three kids and we can get a bit loud - the atmosphere was right for us. Plenty of good food, fun games, great decor, great view of the castle. Our server (Rosa) was exceptional. The kids loved it and that dessert - OMG! The only dessert I was not able to take just one or two bites. Only complaint - the steak was a bit too chewy - but I just ate more shrimp. The food is simple - not gourmet - but good enough and food that the kids really dove into. I hate spending a ton of money on dinner and having my kids not eat.

I've never been at Kona - I imagine the food may be better but the atmosphere not as good or maybe more subdued. I guess it depends on what your looking for.

Good luck!

Had B & D @ Ohana and had B, L, and D at Kona........defintely Kona!!!! O'Hana is fun for the kids in the a.m., but for the food...Kona is much better.

Thanks so much for the input! :yay:
Sounds like Kona would be for me, but Ohana would be more fun for my 9 year old dd. We'll probably go w/Ohana since we're doing a couple of other adult restaurants already (Le Cellier, Chefs de France, YUM). :goodvibes

O'Hanas 100% - Great Restaurant ,Great View, Great Food - Hands down - No Brainer.
